Who: Delia Slater.
Where: Outside the theater, alley, then Paddy's room.
Warnings: None right now, but possibly NC-17 later.
Open to: Paddy Byrne.
So she lied to her father, sort of. She told him she wasn't going to stir up trouble and she had not, yet, but she wasn't going to stay out of it. No one made her father bleed and lived to tell about it, Harry Fisher was a dead man as far as she was concerned. Unfortunately her father had kept her out of the loop when it came to most of Fisher's activities so if she was going to learn anything useful, without her father finding out, she would have to go out and learn it herself. She had taken Paddy's clothes on a whim, wanting to punish the boy for no particular reason, but now they were invaluable to her. He was barely taller than her and only slightly wider, so after she bound her breasts and stuck a few pins in the places that needed them, they fit her well. Topping it off with one of Jimmy's old hats from the attic and Paddy's boots, that were a bit too big but they stayed on her feet well enough, he looked like a proper boy. On the way out she smeared a little dirt across her face to blend in more, then headed off towards the theater Fisher had his boys working out of. Leaning against the wall of the building opposite, Delia had been keeping an eye on the place for a little while now, hat pulled down to hide her face but not enough to block her view. The place was hopping. Harry must have been worried for retaliation since she was sure the man didn't have so many of his men keeping an eye out before. Oh he had good right to fear, she wasn't sure what her father was planning but knowing him it was good, it would be something to make Fisher think twice about ever bothering him again. The cigar in her mouth, she had stolen the thing from a dirty looking fella who had left it sticking out of his pocket, was starting to be on the smallish side. She had been smoking it in an almost annoyed fashion, she hadn't seen Fisher or any of his boys the whole time she'd been watching, and sure she had seen Will go in along with a few of the other men that worked for him. But she wasn't after them, she wanted Fisher, or that ugly little Nell, she would have even settled for any of his other boys, but her father had them too scared. Her cigar had lost it's allure so she let it drop, rubbing it out with her heel in an almost disgusted manner. Delia could be patient as long as it took, but she did not like to keep doing something that so far held little promise. |
