That Time of Day
Subject: An early evenings reprieve
Who: Constance Mosley
Where: Isabel's House
Warnings: none for now
Open to: anyone
It was early evening and several of the girls were gathered in the drawing room, chatting and altering dresses. It was a usual thing and they enjoyed it. Constance was in the study, going over the books and tidying things. It was important to everything and everyone they dealt with that things were correct and discrete. She finished writing a few things before getting up and going to the safe and putting things back in their place. Having enough money meant she could take care of things in the best way possible.
She had a meeting of sorts with someone new later. Russian if the name was any indication, but whether they were going to be a client, she still wasn't sure. She and Ann ran in different social crowds at times, maybe she could inquire if she knew anything. There couldn't be that many Russian upper-class gentleman in London so who knows.
She frowned as she sighed. She could ask Harry but the thought of dealing with him, made her do... well what she was doing. Constance tried, for Annie's sake, she tried to be nice to him. And she'd not admit it but his boys were charming and talented on the stage; her girls adored them, but the two of them just... clashed for better or worse. And at least he wasn't Slater. She didn't even want to think about him.
