Ella Wexley: letter to Patience Item: A letter to Patience Hurst at the Hurst townhouse in London. Warnings: none Open to: Patience Hurst
My dearest friend,
I hate to impose upon you on such short notice, but, honestly, I can no longer sit around my house pretending to enjoy boring activities when there is something infinitely more important that I am wont to do. I cannot hide my true motivation from you, Patience, as I know you would see through any falsities.
Would it be possible for me to stay with you and your family for a few days while I am in town? I shall be arriving very soon, today I expect, so I may not be home to receive your reply. I would not dream of traveling to London knowing you are there and not visiting, so I will stop by for tea at least. It will be lovely to see you again so soon!
