Charles Hurst - Securing Entertainment
Subject: Charles attempts to secure entertainment for his father's hunting party.
Where: London, at Harry Fisher's theatre, early afternoon (possibly slightly backdated)
Who: Charles Hurst
Warnings: none
Open to: Harry Fisher and possibly any of his boys
Charles had easily slipped from purposeful searching to aimless wandering on the London streets. He'd secured the music for the dinner party easily enough, thanks entirely to his father being well connected if he were being honest with himself. But he felt there should be something more to entertain their guests at Bailston Abbey. Something other than dancing, socialising and eating. While those were delightful ways to spend one's time, he felt like he would be falling short of his duty if he merely hired musicians.
He paused once he realised he'd wandered into an unfamiliar part of the city and looked around to attempt to gather his bearings. As if by pure luck he spotted a little theatre just down the street. Instantly his mind was racing with possibilities. A play! One of his own, ideally, could be performed for the guests! Charles would debate over which of his two short plays would fit the bill if he could just speak with the theatre's owner. If there was a regular troupe of actors, there was no doubt in his mind that the troupe's manager would be interested in being paid to travel away from their usual venue. The theatre didn't seem to be in the best part of of the city, but he was so caught up in his brilliant idea that he was oblivious to that fact.
With his mind made up, Charles approached the theatre and asked the first person he met inside if he could speak to the gentleman in charge.
