It didn't take long for him to see the old Headmaster seated at a table, his eyes glassed over and his image appearing frail, nothing like the Dumbledore that Draco had remembered. What had happened to this supposedly great wizard that had left him in such a fragile state? It didn't give Draco less fear and more courage however as he never underestimated anyone. He learned all too well that by underestimating someone, you're liable to get surprised and Draco himself didn't care too much for horrible surprises.
"I know why you've come Draco."
The older wizard's voice was solid and sound, even though he looked otherwise. Draco swallowed hard at his words, nausea taking over him as he looked to Dumbledore, the fear of the task at hand noticeable.
"I have no choice in the matter, he'll kill us if I don't."
Draco was honest in his words, even if his voice faltered and shook as he spoke.
"The Order could have been of dire assistance in helping you had you chosen to not take matters into your own hands."
"The Order would have gotten us killed far sooner than now!" Draco spat out as his eyes glazed over with tears, he blinked them back, his vision slightly blurred as he drew his wand out, his wand hand shaking allowing the wand to move back and fourth repeatedly.
"Then you must do what you need to do, Draco. I will not hold it against you. Afterall, you're merely a boy with a lot on his mind, a lot that shouldn't have been placed within to begin with."
"Stop talking to me!" Draco shot out into the air between them. The talking only made it more difficult and Dumbledore was still being nice despite knowing what Draco was here to do.
"A..." Draco stammered trying to use the killing curse that he had been made to learn before he recieved his unwanted dark mark by Voldemort.
"I... I... I can't do this!" Draco panicked as he continued to tremble, his legs feeling as though they would give out at any time.
"Then don't," Dumbledore replied back warmly as Draco turned his back to him to face the door contemplating just running out and never turning back. However, that was not an option that he had if he in fact wanted to live.
Turning around once more Draco aimed his wand at the older wizard.
"I'm sorry Headmaster, I'm truly sorry." And closing his eyes tightly, Draco went to speak only to hear the sound of someone bursting through the door behind him.
