RIGGS & STEVE.

"You put a challenge down in front of me and how could I turn down one of those?" Aside from learning the ways of space, there had been a decided lack of danger and casework for him to bury himself in. He hadn't had much of a life outside of work in LA and now it was really biting him in the ass. Finding someone to annoy was the most work he'd done in days.

A slightly offended look flitted across Riggs' look as he picked at the neck of his t-shirt and took a whiff. All right, so he was a few days past laundry day, but still. "Well, if I don't want to drown, I have to take time away from experimenting with the quite extensive new varieties of alcohol around here," he stated, all too aware of what the point was. He had a problem, had a problem for a long time, and now there was another person willing to call him out on it. "You think that's a good idea? I mean, I don't want to embarrass you by taking your ass down in front of all these good folks."

Snorting as he shook his head, Steve said with a sarcastic tilt to his words, "I don't think we'll have to worry about you embarrassing me too much, Riggs. I think I'll be able to hold my own just fine." Which could be true, which might not be true. Riggs was a mystery when it came to his actual abilities. Steve had never seen him in action and the other man was a good bit younger than him. That would play in the other SEAL's favor.

"I still want you to do this with me, so you might as well agree to it now because I can get annoying when I get persistent." He smirked, remembering how he had forcibly recruited Danny into Five-0. "Ask Danny if you need references."

Riggs held up a finger. "Oh, you don't know what I'm fully capable of. If Rog was here, I'd tell you to ask him. Or Avery." Bailey and Scorsese hadn't given him the look yet, either because they weren't subjected to his wilder moments enough or they had a higher tolerance for it. "The DA has a damage total on file for me." Which they took up after Avery gave up on. He rest an elbow on Steve's shoulder, leaning against him. "I might be able to still give you a run for your money." Steve at least seemed like he kept in practice while Riggs...maybe not as much.

"Didn't give him much choice either, huh? Well, that worked out well for you." Given the lovey dovey way the two acted around each other, he'd say it worked out pretty damn well. "All right, all right, count me in. I could use something to do, like you said."
