Welcome to the Saturday night on Risa

This evening, join your fellow travelers and crew for a private bonfire on the beach on Risa. Meet new arrivals, catch up with those you haven't seen in a few days, try a new drink, or just enjoy the spectacular weather.

Daisy could feel herself getting more upset as she thought about everything that had happened, the drink wasn't really helping so she drank some more. "She cared about me but she cared about our people more. I was standing in the way of her plans so she was going to remove me from the equation."

She glanced up at him, hoping she didn't look as upset as she felt. "She's dead, my father had to kill her to get her to stop. He crushed her chest and he couldn't live with the memory of killing the only woman he'd ever loved so he had his memories erased, all of them including those of me so he doesn't even know who I am, I'm just a stranger to him. I went from believing I was an unwanted orphan to having two parents and then back to being unwanted again in the space of a couple of months. It's really fucked up."

	If Lucifer had been thinking about anything else, he would have stopped as Daisy described her parents' fates. Instead he just stood there, listening, his jaw dropping as she continued. In some ways it was kinda freeing to just put it all out there and not have someone immediately turn sympathetic to her plight. She hated having people's pity but that didn't seem to be a problem with Lucifer.

"I'm not normal, I'm just really good at faking it," she told him, draining the rest of her drink. "Fake it until you make it, I mean that's the saying. I'm messed up, I drink way too much and I make poor life choices. If that's normal then maybe I am but I really don't feel like it."

"Oh, yeah, I guess you would," Daisy replied with a weak smile. "Sometimes I do the drink too much and bad life choices as a combo, those are always good times."

She laughed at herself, honestly it sounded pathetic and she knew it did. "I would love another," she said, offering him her empty glass. "Maybe something stronger this time?"

"I'm barely drunk, I'm fine but I appreciate the concern," Daisy said, flashing him a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. "It's not like I'm so drunk I'm throwing myself at the first tall, dark, and handsome man to talk to me."

"Right. Fair enough." Giving her a shrug, he once again took their empty glasses away and returned, this time with nothing more than a double shot. She wanted stronger, he had provided as much.

Glancing around the beach, he'd yet to spot Kate, and he was getting frustrated. She couldn't avoid him forever, but it was much easier for her to do so on a planet rather than a ship.

It took him a moment to realize he was still holding two drinks and he handed over Daisy's before turning his attention back to the crowd around them.

Daisy frowned a little as he walked off with her glass. She got the impression she'd said or done something to piss him off and that didn't sit right with her.

When he returned she noticed he was a bit distracted. "Thank you," she said as she took the glass from him and took a sip. "Sorry, I know I'm probably terrible company. I didn't mean to get all depressing on you but my past is awful and well there's a reason I tend to keep it all buried. And if I said something stupid I'm sorry. But for the record, I think you are tall, dark and handsome. Maybe you're right, maybe I shouldn't drink anymore." She glanced down at the glass in her hand and the liquid inside.

	"No, I'm terrible company," Lucifer said. "Which is awful for my reputation but my best friend here is avoiding me and I'm annoyed," he added. "Oh, I'm sorry, that sucks," Daisy said, relieved that maybe she hadn't done anything to piss him off. "My best friend went home but if she came back I'm pretty sure I'd be stuck to her side like glue." It didn't make his situation any better though and she felt bad for him, actually felt bad for the Devil.

"Anything I can do to help? I'm a good listener or I can distract you some other way maybe? Whatever you need."

"I get the not wanting to talk about it. And shame about the sleeping together because I'm very discreet about that sort of thing." She wasn't going to lie she was disappointed to hear him say that.

"Okay, well if you change your mind at all feel free to come find me," she said, smiling up at him. "Yeah, thanks for letting me unload and not judging me for my awful family."

"You can't choose your family," Lucifer offered. "You can choose to be better than them and you have been. Well done."

His words may have come across as condescending, he wasn't sure, nor did he pause to make sure that they weren't, even if he didn't intend them that way. Instead he just headed to the bar for one more drink before giving up on Kate and the night in general.

"Yeah, you're right," Daisy replied. "Thanks."

She frowned a little at his choice of words, not entirely sure if he'd meant them the way they sounded. She wasn't about to chase after him and ask so she just sat there watching him walk off towards the bar before she sipped at her drink and went back to watching the world go by.
