Where: Observation Deck
When: Tuesday evening.
What: Reflecting
Rating/Warnings: PG-13/None.
Status: Ongoing | Open

It was deep into the night, an ungodly hour on any planet where a sun rose and fell, but felt like just any other day on the Enterprise, save for the lack of people up and about at that time. Peter hadn't been able to get any sleep, and had decided to go exploring the hallways and corridors, eventually leading him to one of the observation decks, where he currently hung suspended by one of his weblines, upside down, staring out into the depths of space. Pair of sleep pants and a black undershirt adorned his frame, while he stared off into space.

In one hand he held a piece of equipment that resembled a pen, though it didn't have an ink tip on the end; instead, it seemed to be digital in nature, and as he traced it over the window, it began to light up little digital marks on the window. The marks in particular were math equations, being strung together almost absent-mindedly as the former superhero hung quietly.

Peter really wasn't joking when he said he didn't know what his purpose was here. The scientists here knew the ship in and out, backwards and forwards, he couldn't bring anything new to the table that really assisted them in any substantial way. Being Spider-Man gave him no real advantage on the ship, other than he could lift a heavy thing here or there. Back home he was making a difference in lives, here he could barely make a difference in his own. It was all so... similar day by day.

Tilting his head as he watched the formulas fill out on the window, Peter just shook his head, erasing one with a press of a button on his little device, and then began to apply more to it. He missed Lien, he missed May, and Bobbi, and his friends back home. Here, he knew faces, but they didn't recognize him back. Everyone had someone from back home, it would seem; he, though, felt strangely alone. It was an odd feeling. Peter Parker, the Spider-Man, had always been a bit of a loner, but really he'd always been surrounded by family, loved ones, people who lifted him beyond his abilities, and gave him purpose. He hated feeling like this, he really did, but it was hard to keep waking up and waving at people who just glanced back, but didn't look at you with any recognition. At least any real recognition.

He reached up to tap at his 'watch', the webwear tech of his, and switched the music playing from it to something a bit more classical, then went back to work on his formula.

"Oh, sorry. It's kinda like that. For writing...or as close as we get a lot of the time...and sending messages. Sharing information." he replied. "Seems like you're pretty good with technology stuff."

He sighed. "Sometimes it's just hard to sleep all that good on this thing. There's either too much happening at once or it's too hard to shut down enough to get some rest." he said.

"I guess I should be at least glad my roommate isn't too bad. Even seems like we have a bit in common."

Peter nodded, looking at the pen, then back to Han, "Yea, I suppose it's pretty similar." He slid the pen away, and then tilted his head to the side, shrugging, "Tinkering's always been my strongest suit. Even if I didn't always utilize it correctly."

He looked around, and nodded, "It's hard when your mind is wandering too. It gets so quiet, save the humming of the engines, which can be relaxing, but I also kind of just lay there and think... far too much." Back towards her he grinned, "Who's your roommate?"

"My case it depends what I'm tinkering on. Give me a ship, I'm pretty good, but computers and droids...robots...that's more Luke's thing." he replied.

He nodded, agreeing. Just like the Falcon...the engines relaxed him, but when there was too much on his mind, sleeping was hard. "That's true, even on my own ship. And...guy named Stark. Tony Stark."
