Who: Peter Parker and OPEN
Where: Observation Deck
When: Tuesday evening.
What: Reflecting
Rating/Warnings: PG-13/None.
Status: Ongoing | Open

It was deep into the night, an ungodly hour on any planet where a sun rose and fell, but felt like just any other day on the Enterprise, save for the lack of people up and about at that time. Peter hadn't been able to get any sleep, and had decided to go exploring the hallways and corridors, eventually leading him to one of the observation decks, where he currently hung suspended by one of his weblines, upside down, staring out into the depths of space. Pair of sleep pants and a black undershirt adorned his frame, while he stared off into space.

In one hand he held a piece of equipment that resembled a pen, though it didn't have an ink tip on the end; instead, it seemed to be digital in nature, and as he traced it over the window, it began to light up little digital marks on the window. The marks in particular were math equations, being strung together almost absent-mindedly as the former superhero hung quietly.

Peter really wasn't joking when he said he didn't know what his purpose was here. The scientists here knew the ship in and out, backwards and forwards, he couldn't bring anything new to the table that really assisted them in any substantial way. Being Spider-Man gave him no real advantage on the ship, other than he could lift a heavy thing here or there. Back home he was making a difference in lives, here he could barely make a difference in his own. It was all so... similar day by day.

Tilting his head as he watched the formulas fill out on the window, Peter just shook his head, erasing one with a press of a button on his little device, and then began to apply more to it. He missed Lien, he missed May, and Bobbi, and his friends back home. Here, he knew faces, but they didn't recognize him back. Everyone had someone from back home, it would seem; he, though, felt strangely alone. It was an odd feeling. Peter Parker, the Spider-Man, had always been a bit of a loner, but really he'd always been surrounded by family, loved ones, people who lifted him beyond his abilities, and gave him purpose. He hated feeling like this, he really did, but it was hard to keep waking up and waving at people who just glanced back, but didn't look at you with any recognition. At least any real recognition.

He reached up to tap at his 'watch', the webwear tech of his, and switched the music playing from it to something a bit more classical, then went back to work on his formula.

Darcy couldn't sleep. Not while being on the ship. So after chatting with her new roommate, she would sneak out during the night. Her mission? Locate a coffee machine or something. Her bare feet hit the ground as she stumbled around lightly. Darcy was far from quiet and it was sad she was still trying. That is until she came to a stop.

Was he... upside down? She thought. Her head tilting to the side as she wore her own sleep attire. But she did glance at what he was writing, a light smirk on her features as she came to take steps near him.

"Whatcha doing?" Is all she would ask suddenly. Hopefully not scaring him out his trance. or.. Were those webs??? Already her smile grew bigger.

Peter was pretty out of it when the woman approached him, blinking several times when he heard her, and nearly dropped the 'pen' of his. Looking over his shoulder towards Darcy. He eyed her a moment, and then tilted his to the side.

"I uh... just thinking." He looked to the formula, "Oh, and working on a formula for zero-gravity web-fluid." He held the digital pen up, and watched the writing disappear and the light on the pen blinked green. Setting it into his pocket, he watched her.

"Are you uh... what are you doing?"

She kept her head tilted as she watched the writing disappear. "Couldn't sleep." She replied as she came to step closer and stare at his web a little more. "So... Webby, got a name?" She asked with a light-hearted smile.

"I'm Darcy." She added as she waved lightly to him. "Also, isn't the blood rushing to your head?" She asked once more as she brushed her hair from her face for the moment. This ship was getting more and more fascinating.

Peter finally dropped from the line, flipping through the air as he did so, landing on his feet before looking over towards Darcy, holding a hand out towards her to shake, "Peter. Peter Parker. And pleasure, Darcy."

He tilted his head and shrugged, "Nah, it actually is sometimes quite nice and relaxing upside down."

She came to take a step back when he flipped over, her hand taking his in greeting. "That's pretty cool, where does the webbing come from?" She asked as she tried to peek at his hand without grabbing it. When he said it didn't hurt being upside down she snickered.

"Guess you're used to it." She said with a nod of her head.

Peter showed off his wrist showing the webshooters that looked like some crazy smart watch, "Web shooters, they have cartridges in them..."

He then nodded, "Yea, I've been doing that for awhile, plus it being a power sort of means it's almost second nature to me now being upside down."

"Oh my god! That is so awesome. What tech is this? Stark?" She asked excitedly at this point. Already she came to examine his wrist and that device that looked like a smart watch with fascination.

"Everyone has such cool powers."

"Really? Stark? Man," Peter huffed shaking his head, "Now, it's Parker tech, from Parker Industries. My company. I built it myself. I even provide the weapons and tech now to SHIELD," Peter offered her, raising a brow.

As she looked at the device, he shrugged, "It's part of a network called webware from my world. It works sorta like the PADD."

"These aren't my powers though. This is just my suit and stuff."

"Oh. Sorry never heard of it. But still pretty cool." She replied letting his wrist go as she watched him. "I'm Darcy." She replied holding her hand out to him to greet for the moment.

"So, what other cool techs you got?" She asked with a bright smile on her features for the moment.

Peter looked down at her hand, and then nodded taking her hand and shaking it, "Peter. And good to meet you Darcy."

He then frowned and thought a moment, then raised a brow, "Well I've got a suit, not like Tony's, don't say like Tony's, definitely not like Tony's."

"Oh! Can I see it?!" She said excitedly for the moment. "Sorry, I just think this whole superhero thing is amazing. I'd love to do it." She said with a shrug of her shoulders. "I like helping people." She added as she smiled brightly at Peter.

"And I'm sure your suit is better than Tony's." She said as she snickered and nudged him lightly.

Peter blinked, "The suit? Uh, yea..." He tapped the button on his wrist wear, and the webshooters began to glow a deep red on the screen, his clothes began to liquefy quickly and began to expand down the rest of his arms and legs, surrounding his frame before solidifying into a solid, light metal form that seemed to move like cloth.

He shrugged and held his arm out towards her, "I don't know, Tony's got rocket boots and space capabilities."

"True, but yours is still pretty cool." She replied as she came tot ouch his suit once he held his arm out for her to feel. "This is soo cool." She replied happily as she came to look at Peter once more.

"Tony might have a lot of flashes but this is simple, and sometimes simple is better." She said still holding his arm at this point and touching the suit. She was fascinated with the whole superhero thing.

Han watched him, curious. He suspected the kid had some sort of powers, and nothing in that area really surprised him much anymore. The device reminded him a little of a datapad. The thought occurred to him that it was good this ship had a lot of its own tech. He had to adapt to it, but he got along fine.

Han knew a little about always being alone, although things were different now. It was such a combination of feelings. THe kids were here and that helped immensely, even though they were often off during their own things. But at the same time, he couldn't shake the feelings he got every time he saw the other Leia. The times he'd talked to and been around the other Luke. He missed both of the ones he knew.

"Very nice...looks just like a data pad back home." he commented.

Peter heard the sound of someone approaching, and hearing Han Solo he blinked and quickly dropped from his perch, flipping to land on his knee before pushing to his feet and looking to Han, staring at him a moment too long before holding up the device, "Does it? What's a uh, datapad?"

He of course knew, but also knew better than to speak up. Peggy'd get mad, and last thing he needed was a World War II vet and creator of SHIELD to get mad at him. He'd probably get jettisoned into Klingon territory. He began to wonder if they'd run into Klingons yet here? He shook his head, and glance back towards Han again.

"What uh, what brings you by?"

"Oh, sorry. It's kinda like that. For writing...or as close as we get a lot of the time...and sending messages. Sharing information." he replied. "Seems like you're pretty good with technology stuff."

He sighed. "Sometimes it's just hard to sleep all that good on this thing. There's either too much happening at once or it's too hard to shut down enough to get some rest." he said.

"I guess I should be at least glad my roommate isn't too bad. Even seems like we have a bit in common."

Peter nodded, looking at the pen, then back to Han, "Yea, I suppose it's pretty similar." He slid the pen away, and then tilted his head to the side, shrugging, "Tinkering's always been my strongest suit. Even if I didn't always utilize it correctly."

He looked around, and nodded, "It's hard when your mind is wandering too. It gets so quiet, save the humming of the engines, which can be relaxing, but I also kind of just lay there and think... far too much." Back towards her he grinned, "Who's your roommate?"

"My case it depends what I'm tinkering on. Give me a ship, I'm pretty good, but computers and droids...robots...that's more Luke's thing." he replied.

He nodded, agreeing. Just like the Falcon...the engines relaxed him, but when there was too much on his mind, sleeping was hard. "That's true, even on my own ship. And...guy named Stark. Tony Stark."
