Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

"Business before pleasure, Red," he said with an equally mischievous smirk as he dropped into the seat other seat in the booth. While Howard would openly admit to being something of a social butterfly (because it wasn't like the papers would ever let anyone back home forget it), he knew there was a time to buckle down and get work done and there was a time where he could play. Getting familiar with the ship, with the crew, with the incredible, glorious mechanics of the Enterprise- that had to take priority over everything else, even friendship. At least for the time being.

Still, all work and no play made Howard a very dull boy.

"But you are not a woman that a man easily forgets."

"You are going to be trouble, Kotyonok" She replied, the last word being Russian, specifically meaning kitten. Still, she understood the way a Stark mind worked. She worked with Tony for years but that wasn't something she could tell him.

"And tell me, what makes a woman like me so special?" Besides, the fact that I could kill you without you ever realizing it. Or anyone for that matter She thought to herself, as she shook those thoughts back. She was not the Widow anymore. Wasn't she? It was a struggle she was dealing with daily.

But at least, Howard would be a nice distraction.

"Going to be?" Howard grinned. "Sugar, I thought I already was." He'd certainly been told so many, many times by a wide variety of people. Hell, he could count on one hand the number of people who knew who hadn't told him he was trouble or at least something along those lines. Actually, the description he got most often was pain in the ass, especially from Congress.

What made a woman like her so special? Now that was one hell of a question there. "Now that is a dangerous question. It's been my experience that a woman who asks that is looking for a particular answer." He swirled his drink in is glass, eyes narrowing as he watched her, like he was trying to see what made her tick. "What answer are you looking for, Red?"

She smirked lightly. "Stick with me and you'll really be trouble." She advised him lightly as she came to brush her red hair from her face for the moment. Green eyes watching him closely. He was smart, she gave him that. But she already knew that.

As for what made her tick, well she did make a promise to Tony to keep that a secret and she would. One less heart attack for him to deal with from her. "Surprise me." She replied as she came to run her fingertip over his fingers lightly on the table.

Oh, well that was interesting. Someone thought she was more trouble than he was? No one was more trouble than Howard Stark, but that could also have just been his incredibly competitive ego talking. He was self-aware enough to recognize that.

He was also aware enough to recognize that Natalia, as gorgeous as she was, wasn't really interested in him as anything more than just a distraction. He was a flirtatious cuss, but she was coming on a lot more hot and heavy than he ever had. If they'd been on a planet, almost any planet, where he could easily disappear, he might have considered entertaining her need for a distraction, but the sad fact of the matter was that they weren't. The Enterprise was a beautiful ship and was far larger than anything he'd ever imagined, but she only had so many decks and so much room. He doubted he could easily avoid Natalia, so there were more risks associated with taking her to bed.

But who knew? Maybe he'd change his mind and decide to go for it.

One brow ticked up toward his hairline when she made the first move, echoing the smirk that spread across his lips. "Something tells me that nothing I said would be a real surprise to you, Red. A woman like you? You've been told how beautiful you are millions of times."

Only two people ever told her how beautiful she was. And they were both gone. "I like surprises. Plus, it doesn't mean a girl doesn't like hearing it. Especially from someone as handsome as you." She replied as she let her fingers play over his lightly. Natalia wasn't one to do things half ass. It was basically go big or go home for her.

Slowly she came to lick at her lips. Her glass was long empty. Sadly she wouldn't feel its effect. Not unless she had Thor's mead. That gave her the feeling she needed. This, nothing. But it was still a nice taste. She thought for a moment as she came to keep her green eyes focused on his features, as her eyes trailed down to his lips and soon back up.

She had no shame really. Especially when she was interested in something. Despite Tony's nagging voice in the back of her head. She might just kiss Howard to get the voice to disappear.

	This was even better. Howard straightened the fingers that had been curled around his glass before Natalia decided to lavish them with attention, giving her more room to play. Already her hand slipped from his, her frame coming to a stand as she moved to take that seat next to him at the booth. Her frame turned slightly as her fingers went back to playing against his lightly. Her fingers trailing up his hand and back down to his fingertips.

"Well, who am I to refuse." She replied as she came to give him a devilish smirk. "But I'm sure you're tired of women telling you how utterly handsome you are. Aren't you?" She said in such a teasing voice for the moment as she brought green eyes to stare up at his for the moment.

Howard didn't move, didn't react much to Natalia's advances. Not because he didn't want to, he was only a man after all, but because it was all part of the game. It was cat and mouse at that moment, and Natalia thought she was the cat who was playing with her food before she took a bite. She was pulling out all the stops and were he a lesser man, he might have succumbed. But Howard was nobody's fool and even if he didn't have all the money the world here and now, he was used to coming across entirely too bold women who thought they could snare him with a roll in the hay and nothing more. It was going to take more than a pretty face and lowered inhibitions to get his attention.

He turned away slightly, focusing on his drink with a shrug. "If people want to shower me with compliments, I'm not going to stop them." He took a drink after he spoke, as if to punctuate his near-indifference even though he was hyper aware of her reaction.

Natasha came to smirk for the moment. Least he knew how to play. Her hair came to fall along her cheeks slightly as she came to watch him sip his drink. Her own gaze moving to those around the deck for the moment. She let her fingers play along with his tips for the moment as she glanced back to him.

"Can't inflate that ego too much now. Not when I'm just starting with you." She replied lightly as she came to lick at her lips. Her hand pulled back from his as she came to take his glass once it was placed on the table. She came to take her own sip of it as she placed it back before him.

She didn't wince at the taste, truth be told, she didn't taste it, which was a shame. She came to exhale deeply for the moment as she put her focus back on her little mouse.

Howard could take a lot when he wanted to, but taking a drink from a man's glass, plucking it from his own hand? And without when a nod toward asking for approval? That was a step too far. Normally it wouldn't phase him as he was used to forward women, but everything added up together and left him irritated.

His face shut down and it became very clear to anyone paying attention that he was no longer playing.

"Maybe another time, Red."

Nat almost wanted to laugh suddenly. But she didn't. Already she came to shrug her shoulders lightly. Her frame pulling away from his lightly as she took note of the change in his tone and posture. "Maybe next time, I'll let you in on a little secret." She replied as she came to fix her hair and bring her frame to a stand.

Already she would look around the Deck for the moment and soon back to him. That smile placed along her face. "Until then Howard." She replied as she came to move out that booth and towards the exit of the deck.
