Welcome to the Hawaiian Luau!

All characters who joined the Hawaiian Islands excursion are invited to a traditional luau and pig roast in honor of the travelers. Enjoy drinks, dinner, hula, live music, a private beach, and each other.

The hero thing was even more of a new thing for Mon-El than it had been for Kara. Hell, the work thing was a new thing. And, he found himself relaxing into the peace of this future earth. And, he figured they deserved a vacation after everything that had happened back hom since he'd woken up in that pod. And, everything that seemingly was about to happen too. So, he's made it his job to help Kara relax.

He'd volunteered to get the drinks. Asking the bartender for whatever he recommended. Which is how he ended up with the odd looking drinks he was now carrying. Still, a grin spread across his face, as he handed Kara her drink, and leaned down to kiss her. Before, sinking down next to her, just wearing bermuda shorts.

"Apparently, it's called a Mai Tai. Just don't ask me what's in t. Cause, I have no clue."

It had taken a little bit of persuading but she'd allowed Mon-El to talk her into relaxing and enjoying this unscheduled vacation. He did seem to have a unique ability when it came to getting her to worry less. And it wasn't like they could go home right now anyway, they had to wait it out so they might as well make the most of it.

When he walked back grinning at her she couldn't help but return it with a grin of her own. She took the offered drink, and his kiss. She waited until he sat down next to her and leaned against him before she took a sip of her drink through the straw.

"I was going to say what kind of bartender doesn't know what's in different cocktails but then I can't imagine many people would have ordered anything like this from you."

As Kara leaned into his side, he wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her in close to his body.

"Yeah, the most complicated drink people normally order is vodka and coke."

With the woman he loved in his arms, Mon-El was happy to just sit there and watch the festivities. This was the best he'd felt since arriving in this time. He'd hated being separated from Kara far too much for his liking.

"What do you think about this future Earth, then?

Kara let him pull her in close, happy to be right where she was.

"If you're planning on being a bartender on the ship you might need to learn all these fancy drinks."

There was laughter in her voice as she lightly teased him. It was easy to forget they weren't in their own time when she was with him. She could almost imagine they were just enjoying themselves in a rare quiet moment back home.

"I don't know, everything is different but you're here, I don't think I'd like to be here without you."

It was quite easy to imagine that in some way they were just having a day at the beach on a crime free day in National City. "I was here for a whole week without you. It definitely sucked. This here. "I'm sure they can otherwise you might have a very short career as a bartender here." Kara smiled more when she heard his laugh, it was hard not to. He made her happy to the point she found it hard not to smile around him.

"Did you miss me?" A hint of that teasing tone still in her voice even as she leaned up and kissed his cheek. "Because I know I'd have missed you if it had been the other way around."

"You could enjoy the relaxing cruise anyway. You don't have to work all the time. I mean you have to take some time to yourself, for learning those recipes and all." Kara's own smile grew as he held her closer.

"Well I'm here now," she replied, meeting him in the kiss. "I don't want to wake up without you either, which might be a little difficult back on the ship."

"Well, our roommates will just have to cope." Mon-El chuckled, with a slight frown. "Although, that is something I never thought I'd say. Roomate. If past me could see me now. He would have no idea what was going on." Possibly because he'd have been off his head on drugs, like the entirety of his people were before Daxam was destroyed. But then, he knew the man he was back then, would not have been happy sharing his room. Apart from with that different girl everynight. He never would have recognised the man he became, back then. Never could have foreseen this. But then, how could he have foreseen Kara Zor-El and the affect she'd have on him.

"They will but we'll have to at least be a little considerate of them." Kara smiled at him, her smile falling a little as she saw him frown. "I'm sure there are a lot of things you'd never thought you'd say. You've come a long way from who you used to be," she told him, leaning in and kissing him again. Kara could still remember how she'd felt towards him when she first found out he was from Daxam, she hated how she'd allowed preconceived ideas to dictate her behavior towards him in the start but slowly she'd seen he wasn't what she had thought he was. She'd given him a chance and he'd proved himself a good man, a man she could trust with her heart and in return he'd made her happier than she ever thought she'd be.
