Welcome to the Deck 5 Lounge

Each Saturday, join the Enterprise crew and your fellow travelers in the Deck Five Lounge to meet new arrivals, catch up with those you haven't seen in a few days, try a new drink, or just enjoy the spectacular view.

"As well enough as I could," she said. "I was stuck with Peggy in the Traveler Liaison Office. We found a bit of food that kept us going, but it was rather miserable overall. I saw that you were stuck here. I'm surprised you have any stock left."

If she had been stuck in the lounge, she definitely would have drank, and since Lucifer couldn't feel the effects of the alcohol, Mary was surprised he hadn't consumed most of the bar.

"I actually didn't have anything to drink until the third day," Lucifer replied. "I had my reasons for that, of course." His reasons were namely that he hadn't allowed Tony to drink for the vast majority of the time and that it would have been rude to then drink in front of him. But that wasn't his story to tell, so he just shrugged and took the glass that was handed to him. Nothing was stopping him from drinking now.

"I have a feeling Agent Carter was resourceful enough to get you through, though. Not a bad person to be stuck with, at least. And you made it out relatively unscathed. So cheers to that!"

"I'm impressed," Mary said, with a cocked eyebrow. If he had his reasons then there was a story behind that, though Mary wasn't going to press him if he wasn't going to offer it.

"Cheers." She clinked her glass against his, then took another sip. "She was. She seemed used to situations like this and was able to keep me calm. We got to know each other, so at least that was one delightful part about it."

"Yeah, by day three though I needed a drink. Straight from the bottle at that point." Even while having no affect on him, liquor was a comforting part of his daily routine.

Raising a brow, Lucifer agreed, "At least there's that." Like he hadn't just gone back and forth with Peggy for far too many comments while learning next to nothing. "And you had a view, though maybe not as much space to move as in here..."

He really had lucked out, and it wasn't as if he minded keeping Tony sane, and later looking after both him and Seven. "Yeah, I was pretty lucky that I was stuck here, and I was only able to be stuck here because I'm the manager. Life is pretty damn good," he mused.

"I cannot say that I blame you on that." If she'd had any alcohol, it absolutely would have been consumed, and probably out of the bottle as well.

Mary smiled at him. "I'm glad you're happy, Lucifer." She wasn't quite sure if she was happy yet. She was content, but that wasn't the same thing as being happy. Could she ever be truly happy in this century? She didn't know. "You'll do a good job with this place."

	Mary raised an eyebrow slightly. She hadn't really been expecting Lucifer to ask about that. "I showed him my home in the simulation." That had been a nice day. Jim was polite as always. 	"Maybe you're held up, waiting on the wrong guy," Lucifer pointed out. "There are more arriving here by the week, and plenty I'd be willing to shag, if I hadn't learned that wasn't necessarily the best idea up here." Her eyebrow moved even further up her forehead at that, and she gave a laugh. "If it were only about sex, then perhaps I would have already." It wasn't love or anything, not yet at least, but Mary did have some feelings for Jim. She wanted more from him than physical pleasure. Lucifer was right that there were a lot of handsome men arriving every week that she could probably take her pick from. Unfortunately, they weren't what she wanted.

"I'm sure you'd sleep with the Captain if you got a chance," Mary said with a sly smile. "Or Dr. McCoy."

	Lucifer merely laughed. "Fair enough. And yes, yes I would. I've told them both as much already. The Captain was fairly gracious but I'm pretty sure that Bones is looking at taking out a restraining order against me. 	"He loved his little tribble and was looking for something cuddly to replace it, so he must have a softer side," she said with a smile. "It doesn't seem that he likes to show it though.
