Kitty tended to get up early. Really early. With her Engineering training starting, she wanted an early start, which meant her morning routine got moved up an hour. With the ship returning to normal (because naturally there'd be a disaster the day after she arrived), she really felt the need to hit something.

She pulled out a big punching bag and set it up, then tied her hair back and assumed a ready stance. Then she let out a battle cry and started to hit it, following up her punches with kicks and increasingly acrobatic attacks.

"That can be a vacation too," Lucifer pointed out. He stood up and nodded toward the bag. "Mind if I have a go?"

Considering her a moment, he added, "If you ever need to hit someone rather than something? I'm an excellent punching bag. You can ask Hawke about that." There was a smirk on his lips as he mentioned Hawke, and he was going to need to go find her soon. They hadn't exactly caught up since the red alert.

	"Something tells me you're actually enjoying this." One of Kitty's best techniques was counters and using momentum against her opponent. So she didn't often get a chance to just wail on someone. She jumped forward, lashing out with a kick at Lucifer's chest. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"At least we're both getting something out of it!" Who knew the devil was a better therapist than Professor X? Kitty moved in again, dancing around him. "We kind of do." Kitty was uncomfortable with the idea of Lucifer's father, but it wouldn't shake her faith. If there was a universe with a good god, there'd be universes with bad ones. Lucifer's was clearly somewhere in between. "My dad sounds a lot better than yours. He wasn't a mutant, but he always supported me. When that nation I mention needed help, he went there to do what he could."

So when Genosha burned, her father had burned with it. She'd grieved, but she'd also been so proud of him.

"One of the benefits of being me is that I don't have to eat. But I'll meet you for lunch all the same," Lucifer replied, eyeing her outstretched hand before shaking it warily. He thought that was her intention, at least. "And yes, I'll have to hear stories of when you were more evil than myself.
