Will was glad that the tribbles were gone. He had encountered them before and while they were cute in their own way, they were mostly just an irritation. Especially because they seemed to reproduce without even having to try. Thankfully humans didn't have that abillity although there was a part of him that had always wanted children despite his own upbringing.

Pushing those thoughts aside, he made his way to the Deck 5 lounge to see who was there. He hadn't been keeping up with the new arrivals and he decided he'd be social. Plus he could use a drink. He didn't mind working in tacitical but it was a change for him and he had had a very long week. After he got himself a drink, he found an empty talbe and sat down where he could see the door, just to see who might wander in.

Lucifer had avoided the Lounge during this event the previous week, but he was back to his normal self now. Wandering into the room, he immediately spotted his elusive roommate, and took a seat at his table. "Hello, Roomie," he said cheerfully. "How is it that I can find you here but never in the room?"

"You've been busy and I thought it was best to make myself scarce," he said with a grin. "and I've been working a good bit. I'm used to working in command so I'm having to refresh my memmory. This hip is also a century or so behind the one I'm used to." While much was the same, there were also thing that were vastly different from the Enterprise E and Will was having to fiugre out what those things were.

"Can I buy you a drink?" he asked. "they have a decent selection. This is something I've never tried before, the bartender said it was his specialty and it's not bad."

"Bloody hell, I stopped that almost two weeks ago," Lucifer smirked. "Trust me, more trouble than it's worth on a ship that seems to keep getting smaller." Seven had mentioned that the Enterprise was behind her time as well, and apparently people from the future had as hard a time adjusting to the antiquated technology as some people from the past had adjusting to the new.

"I'll try it, sure," Lucifer replied. "But if you're paying, you're doing it wrong. One benefit of arriving here unexpectedly. Everything is free and they give you money to spend when we're docked."

Lucifer had spent almost the entirety of his on a new wardrobe, liquor, and eating at actual restaurants.

"I somehow missed the part where things are free," Will laughed. "but that's a good thing. I'd heard that we dock from time to time although the ship that I live on is equipped to go out on longer missions than this one and we don't need to dock as much but I can imagine it would be a little claustrophobic to someone who wasn't used to it." He was even feeling it to a certain extent but it could also be that he missed Deanna. They'd finally figured things out and then he was brought here. If there was any justice in this world, she'd join him here.

"How long have you been on board?" he asked, taking a sip of his drink. "You seem pretty comfortable here."

"Two months," Lucifer replied. "And we've docked once in that time." It really was claustrophobic after a while, especially when you couldn't really avoid anyone for too long.

"Then things aren't free anymore, but they give you money to go spend anyway, which makes me think that this program probably has too much money invested in it. Not that I'm complaining. I like owning liquor and nice clothes."

He leaned back and said, "So waking up here wasn't as much of a shock to you as it was someone like myself who had never been to space?"

Will shook his head. "No, it wasn't. As I said, this ship is very similar to the one that I live on, just an older model you might say." He shook his head. "and waking up in a different time is also something I've experienced before. For some reason the Enterprise seems to attract temporal anomalies. There are a lot of alternate universes out there."

Some he liked better than others if he were honest with himself. Over the years, he'd lost track of what was real and what wasn't but he'd always assumed that the timeline he lived in was the Primie universe as they called it. Now it appeared that there was another one whcih was different from what he was familiar with.

Lucifer shook his head. "I may have gotten used to my new living situation, but the alternate universes are still bloody mental."

The fact that they were on the Enterprise at all, that it wasn't just a fictional spaceship was mental.

And yet, rather brilliant.

"So you've woken up in a different time before? Future or past?"

"Both actually," he said. "I also discovered that due to some kind of transporter malfunction that there was another version of me out there. A younger version in fact. That was quite the experience." Will took another drink. "Although it was rather odd having to fight for the attention of the woman Iloved against myself. Things got sorted out finally. He's happy and goes by his...our...middle name. I got the girl," he grinned. "although it still took us a good long while to figure that one. WE just got engaged as a matter of fact. Then I find myself here."

He missed Deanna and while there had been a point in his life where he would have been perfectly fine getting to know some of the ladies on board with no qualms since Deanna wasn't present, that time was past. It had taken far to long for them to realize that they'd only ever truly be happy with each other and was wiling to accep thtat.

"Mate, that's bloody confusing," Lucifer said, attempting to work out how there could be a multiple versions of someone. "Wait, is there more than one me out there? Bloody hell..."

He frowned when Riker mentioned being separated from Deanna. "I was separated from someone myself, but we'd just managed to figure out we had... something between us. I don't envy you."

"Well normally this wouldn't have been possible, it was a fluke but it's very strange to meet yourself," he shook his head. "I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Maybe she'll come here. Anything is possible."

It had taken him and Deanna far too long to finally admit that they still cared for one another and Will dind't want to waste any time. It appeared though as if someone somehow thought a little separation might be good for them.

"I think if the detective showed up now she wouldn't exactly be thrilled with me," Lucifer replied. But months had passed over two hundred years in the future. What would she expect from him at this point?

"But I hope yours does. Your relationship was much further along than my own."

"Our relationship has been many years getting to this point," he laughed. "we met when we were young, I made a really dumb decision, we ended up apart and once we were on the same ship, it was still more years that I cane to admit before we figured it out. I was never good at relationships and I didn't even understand what I'd lost until she started seeing someone else but thankfully they drifted apart and he ended up marrying someone else." He wasn't even going to get into the time travel bits of the whole thing or the glimpse into the future of what could have been, the important thing is that they were together now. Well they were when they were in the same place anyway.

"I have come to the conclusion that women are complicated no matter what century you come from," he shook his head. "I doubt I will ever understand them."

Lucifer had no idea where his relationship with Chloe could have gone. Only that it wasn't going anywhere now. But women were complicated, and he raised his glass toward Will.

"That they are. But yeah, I hope she shows up. And I have to admit, I like you as a roommate." He was definitely more sane than the last one.

""The feeling is mutual. Did your last roommate leave?" Will was curious as to how long people stayed, if there was any rhyme or reason to it. He doubted there was but it didn't hurt to try and figure it out.

"Do you get a choice as to whether or not you leave or do you just poof at some point?"

"Yeah," Lucifer nodded. "He disappeared, really. I didn't see him for a while, figured they had him locked in a padded room somewhere. Then his departure was announced. And I lost the one person I knew from before here, one of my best friends."

That had been rough. "She wouldn't have left without telling me."

It's surreal, recognizing a face you have never seen personally, but this was one the Collective knew well. She hadn't been there, but she remembered Wolf 359, just like she recalled the Borg's failed attempt at delaying First Contact and assimilating Earth in the past. He was there, both times. Which made the commander someone who was, in the Borg's eyes, worthy of assimilation. He would make an excellent drone.

—not that Seven thought in those terms anymore, but the notion was there. It surfaced, like many things, unbidden from the depths of her systems, reminding her of the undeniable fact that no matter how human she became, she would always, on some level, be Borg.

Approaching him might not be the best of ideas, but a sudden desire to know if reality matched recollection drove her to do so. (A whim that was more human that it was Borg.) Hands clasped behind her back, Seven stepped up to his table.

"Commander Riker."

After his conversation with Lucifer, Will got up and went to look out the viewport, contemplating the stars. He never got tired of it, no matter how often he did it or exactly where in the universe he was. Nothing could compare to looking at the stars.

When he heard his name called, he turned around, not recognizing the person who had spoken to him. "Yes, that's me. Can I help you?"

"I wanted to introduce myself to you," she said simply, honestly. There was little point in deception. "It would be better if I do so of my own volition than after you learn of my presence aboard this vessel."

She was Borg. She elicited apprehension and distrust; she was accustomed to it, had learned to ignore and navigate her way around the hostilities harbored for her by Voyager's crew. If there were any other crew with a valid reason to fear and hate the Borg, it was that of the vessel Locutus Captain Picard was stolen from.

"My name is Seven of Nine. I am— I was Borg."

With her mind still on New York, Kate had gone classic with her choice of drink in the lounge. The Manhattan was one of those drinks that had been a bar staple for over a century even in her time. Of course, being two hundred years into the future, the cocktail she sipped on while stationed at the bar was probably considered old-fashioned by now.

But that didn't concern her too much, and Kate lifted the drink to her lips as she pushed away from the bar, the swiveling seat of the stool rotating until she had a full view of the room and the various characters within.

Mary noticed Lucifer talking to one of the newer arrivals - Riker, if Mary remembered correctly. Being a traveler liaison meant that she was at least familiar with everyone who arrived on the ship, even if she wasn't the one who processed them. She spared Lucifer a glance, then looked back down at the paper she was writing on. If he wanted nothing to do with her, she would oblige.

She sighed. Paper had been incredibly hard to come by on this ship. Everything was digitalized, but she hated writing like that. It wasn't tangible to her. Mary had been keeping a journal on paper, though she wouldn't dare work on that in public. Tonight, she was sitting with a glass of wine and planning a tea party.

The holodeck simulation of Downton was incredible, even though it was eerily quiet without people. Mary wanted to bring others in to see her home and she thought that a tea party might be a nice introduction. Unfortunately, planning a tea party in this age was a challenge. She would have to use the replicators, and probably have Jadzia write in a few edits to the program in order to have everything she needed. It was amazing that such a thing could be accomplished so quickly.

Mary scribbled ideas on her paper, trying to decide the best day to do this. Perhaps next Sunday? She hoped people would actually come, particularly Jim. Glancing up, she looked around the lounge for him, hoping that he might stop by the lounge that evening. Then she sipped her wine and went back to her paper.

She'd come hoping to see Blake, but had gotten curious as to what Mary was up to.

"Yes, actually," Mary said with a smile. "A tea party, technically. Have you ever been to one?"

Had she ever heard of one? That was the real question. People here were from such different times and places that one never knew what was common in a person's home world or not.

"Not since my sister was yay high," Yang said, holding her right arm out about waist high. In contrast to her skin, it was painted black and yellow and looked almost metallic. "Don't think I've ever had one as an adult. I helped plan a dance with one of my friends. That was pretty fun."

There was a wistfulness in her voice. Yang missed her friends. At least she had one of them here, but her sister and Weiss weren't, and neither were any of the others. And if some people could come here from being dead, maybe there was a chance for a couple of them.

Mary spared her arm a glance, though she wasn't particularly shocked about it. Apparently being in space was enough to desensitize her to most things that would be considered strange in her time.

She could certainly understand Yang missing her friends, though in Mary's case it would be her family - particularly her son, her brother-in-law, and her father.

"They're quite popular in my time and place. Though technically they wouldn't be considered parties, I suppose, since we had tea nearly every afternoon."

"So what's the difference between tea and a tea party then?" Yang was genuinely curious, and like all things she gave Mary her full attention, even if she was awkwardly standing there. It was rude to just sit, and Yang was trying to temper her normal behaviors.

"Would you like to have a seat?" Mary asked, motioning to the booth across from her. It was rude to leave her standing there.

"I suppose there isn't much of a difference," Mary said with a shrug. "I just wouldn't call tea time back home a party, since it happened every day. Here it would be a one time occurrence." Or perhaps it would be a more regular thing, if people enjoyed it and wished to have it again.

This was the first time Jacen had entered the Lounge.

He was happy the tribbles were gone, but was uncertain about the method. Even after everything he'd been through, he hated violence against animals, thus had mixed feelings about the tribble resolution.

(He ate meat, though. So ... he was kind of a hypocrite anyway.)

He'd never had alcohol before (not counting the tiny sips he got from Dad at events as a kid). Sure, it had been snuck into the Jedi Academy, but Jacen had never partaken, far too busy with his pets. And then, well, the war happened. And ... so, this was twenty-one year old Jacen Solo with his first brandy.

This was the second, maybe third-time Jyn had been to the Lounge. She noticed that once a week they held these gatherings that allowed everyone on the ship to get together and conversate with one another. Her dark brunette hair would be tied back, as she found herself wearing the clothes from her closet.

The most visible thing on her would be that Kyber crystal that rested around her neck. It was the only thing she had from her mother. So she made sure to never take it off. Once inside, she would come to take a seat not far from Jacen, as she was given a glass of water for the time being.

The crystal had an energy all of its own. At first, Jacen thought he sensed another lightsaber, and looked around. He couldn't see a Jedi he recognised, not even from the old holos. So he closed his eyes, breathed for a moment, reached out and--

--oh. It wasn't a lightsaber.

Jacen sipped his brandy (and used the Force to disguise his choking, ohgods alcohol was the worst, why did Dad and Lando like this so much), then turned to glance at Jyn ... and the crystal around her neck.

He lifted a hand in greeting and smiled. "Hey."

Jyn noticed someone staring in her direction. When she came to finally look to see who it was, she would make a slight face. "Why are you staring at me?" She asked as he came to finally greet her. But Jyn wasn't one for greetings. She'd rather get to the point of things. But she followed his eyes to look at her necklace.

It was a simple motion as she placed that crystal under her shirt and came to sip at her water once more. "Sorry. Hello." She replied. Her tone held an accent to it as she took his hand in greeting. She had to remind herself, to be nice to those here. Especially since some were from her world, but farther ahead in time.

So he was from her world, but much more into the future. Since she believed Leia told her it had been over thirty years since the first death star was destroyed.
