Poe hadn't seen or heard from Rey at all, though he'd be pleased to once they made contact. She was a good friend to Finn and he was glad they'd been able to save her from whatever fate had been waiting for her on Starkiller.

"It's definitely not something I expected" Poe admitted, "And I miss my X-Wing. It doesn't feel right without being off on some kind of mission. BB-8 feels the same, he's been trying to work out ways back but even he doesn't know where to start" Most of Poe's life had been spent in the cockpit of some kind of ship, he knew the need to fly would only get worse the longer they were here.

She wondered how Poe would react, eventually, when he learned of Leia's relationship with his father. She had begun to consider Poe something of a son, in the years that she's gotten to know him (after losing Bed), and their relationship could be fractured so easily once the truth came out. But with Rey here, and with Leia's joy at having her daughter back, that wasn't a truth she was going to continue hiding.

"Hopefully the captain and crew of the Enterprise will let us figure out something to do. I don't know if I can stand having an extended vacation."

Learning the truth would be hard for Poe but it wouldn't be something he couldn't cope with. His respect and loyalty to Leia wasn't just because she was his commanding officer. He definitely viewed her as a motherly figure and would forever be thankful to have her in his life. And of course getting to know Rey would be a priority, once he knew their connection.

Poe nodded, "I'm going to put in a request to fly whatever they'll let me" he told her, "Maybe they'll let us form our own kind of crew" he added hopefully.

	"If they don't let you fly," Leia said, "then they're fools. I'm sure you're better than anyone in their fleet." Flattery, maybe, but also the truth. Leia set a hand on Poe's shoulder for a moment. 	"I appreciate it" Poe told her honestly, "How are you doing? Must be difficult having a version of him here that isn't one you know" he said, knowing she'd realise he meant Han. 	Poe could tell it wasn't the truth but he didn't push her, not yet anyway. There was still that voice at the back of his mind reminding him she was his commanding officer and not just his friend. He nodded, "It's an odd situation that's for sure" he agreed, "But if anybody can work around it, then it's you. And I'm here if you need anything" he added. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Leia smiled back. "I know that," she said. She hoped he didn't notice the way her cheeks reddened slightly when he mentioned his family. That was a conversation she needed to have with him at another time, not here on a public tour. She squeezed his arm. "Enjoy the rest of the gardens, Poe. I'll see you back on the ship."
