WHO: Lucifer and Mary
WHEN: 226404.02 evening
WHERE: The Deck 5 Lounge
SUMMARY: Lucifer goes to the bar in search of Maze after she's listed as departed.
WARNINGS: Maybe some language.

Lucifer stared at the latest list of arrivals and departures, reading it over repeatedly. Each time, one name remained on the list despite his insistence that it be removed. Mazikeen.

Maze was gone.

Not ready to believe that he left his room, barely sparing a second thought that his bizarre roommate was also now absent, and headed to the last place he'd seen his demon, the Deck 5 Lounge. Maze couldn't be gone. They'd just had drinks two nights before where once again she'd refused to tell him where she was spending all her time, and insisted on playing coy. This was Maze, who'd sworn an oath and kept it even after he'd released her, who had followed him out of the gates of hell to Los Angeles. Who had traded torture for mixing drinks and the mess that was humanity, staying by his side as she'd sworn to do.

And she was gone?

He stepped into the lounge, the room spinning in front of him as he tried to find her amidst the crowd. "Maze!" he called out, not caring that people were staring at him. "Maze!" Turning around to get a full view it seemed as though the ground was tilting below him as he couldn't find her familiar form anywhere. "Bloody hell," he muttered, an edge to his voice that sounded almost foreign, even to him. He gripped a table to steady himself and found himself face to face with none other than Lady Mary Crawley, who was staring at him.

"You need to leave until you can get a hold of yourself," Mary said, her brow set and her lips pursed. If she didn't concentrate, she would probably burst into tears and she wasn't having that, not in front of the whole lounge and certainly not in front of Lucifer.

Lucifer was about to reply when he was apprehended by several members of the security team, who cuffed him in far superior restraints than he'd seen back on earth, and that he couldn't get out of.

"Oh bloody hell," he muttered, but for the first time, his expression mellowed and he saw Mary as she stood, paler than her normal self. He was still to furious to apologize, but that terrible sting that accompanied guilt hit him and he swallowed hard and turned away from her.

Telling the security team they were clearly overreacting, he nonetheless followed their instructions and let them march him out of the lounge, not caring that almost all eyes were on him.

Mary waited until security had taken him out before gathering herself together. She left her wine glass on the table and hurried out of the lounge. The tears had already started to fall before she reached her room. Luckily she was able to lock the door behind her before she started sobbing.
