Isabela and Lucifer

SUMMARY: A reunion of beautiful people.
WARNINGS: Unlikely.

Risa was paradise. That may not have been the literal truth, but it certainly was figuratively true and there was no doubt that it beat his father's idea of heaven by a long shot. The devil was grateful he'd arrived back with the travelers of the Enterprise in time to arrive on this pleasure planet but he was going to have a hell of a time leaving it behind.

He was thinking about that when he spotted a very familiar face from his previous trip and he approached her grinning. "Isabela," he greeted her. They had flirted back and forth on multiple occasions, but had somehow stopped themselves from going any further than that. Probably because the ship was too small and he had grown tired of trying to avoid people on it, even if Isabela promised no-strings-attached fun.

Either way, he was pleased to see her now. "Good to see you again. Did you miss me?"

Isabela groaned. She didn't want or need people intervening for her. It just made her look weak. But she also wasn't going to go after Lara because she really believed she'd only screw it all up. Or that Lara wouldn't ever trust her to be loyal given her promiscuity.

"Believe me, I just want to sail into that horizon and not come back." Or drown. She'd take drowning right now. "Short of that, I'll just go to a rave and stay there until I drop."

	Isabela believed getting her heart broken was worse, but she didn't say it outloud. "Kidnapped? That's definitely all rather dramatic. But you're still standing, yes?" The whole devil thing was new to her. There was no lore like that in any religion from the world she was from. Just Blights that happened every so often that were potentially devastating. "Exactly. So now that you have no excuses, let's set a deadline for you. As in, if you've not spoken to the object of your affection and confessed your desire to her by the time we're forced back upon that bloody ship, I intend to fulfill my end of the bargain and speak to her myself."

He was quite aware that they hadn't actually made such a deal yet, and he was watching her, awaiting her response.

She looked up at Lucifer. "Fine, since you're so intent upon it." Though Isabela didn't think Lucifer talking to Lara would do any good, regardless of what answer he may get from her.

"Maker's breath, either do it or don't. Stop berating me with these questions!" Isabela wasn't actually mad, she was just tired of this subject. She wanted people to just leave her alone about it.

There was also the fact that Isabela seemingly wanted Lara more than a ship and that fact scared her to death. She'd betrayed Hawke for the promise of a ship. And yet she wanted Lara more than a ship. What kind of pirate was she if that was the case?

	"Only if you don't," Lucifer reminded her. "Which you should." But he was willing to let the subject drop for now, and instead of saying anything else, he reached into a pocket to retrieve a flask. Isabela rolled her eyes. She didn't want to go anywhere near Lara right now, and she was convinced that even if Lucifer talked to her, that nothing would come of it. Sure, they'd shared a kiss, but that was undoubtedly as far as anything would go.

Taking the offered flask, she gratefully took a drink from it. Isabela definitely needed the drink, and she needed to get lost in the many pleasure of this planet before she was confined to the flying tin can that did wonders to set off her claustrophobia from time to time. She handed the flask back, not wanting to drink all of it. That would just be rude.
