Who: Daniel Morgan and Laura Meyhew
What: They're working. Totally working.
When: Thursday, December 9 2010
Where: Camelot HQ, Daniel's room. -coughs-
Warnings: TBD?
It was probably a little unprecedented for the leader of Camelot and his head of security to be working out of his bedroom, but then again, it was probably just as unprecedented for them to be doing everything else they'd been doing for the past couple months as well. At this point Daniel had stopped worrying about it. At first they'd been pretty discrete about it but after awhile it became clear that people were going to find out anyway. Besides, Daniel had nothing to be ashamed of. If anything he was a little too proud of the fact that he was with her, and he didn't exactly have a problem with letting it show. Things had been going really well for them, he thought. That is until a series of rather curious events that had occurred earlier on in the week. Events surrounding the sudden resurfacing of an ex-girlfriend and Laura just so happening to turn up at the club she worked at on Sunday night. Daniel still hadn't mentioned it, for one because he had no idea what to say and two, they'd been a little busy this week.
The news of Senator Cho's NGO bill had reached Daniel pretty quickly. Just because they were in Britain didn't mean he didn't keep up with American politics, and anything that affected reincarnates to such a large degree he made a real point of keeping a close eye on. Everything this bill stood for was deeply troubling him, and he'd spent most of the week in talks with Director Macintosh and other various staff at the Agency as well as some of Camelot's connections in the States. He was prepared to help with this in any way he could, he just had no idea how. He wasn't exactly in a position to have much sway over in the U.S. and he still had Camelot to run. Between all the events that had occurred thus far this week plus Ava getting sick had Daniel far too close to his wits end. Luckily by now Ava was well on the mend, so that was one less thing for him to worry about.
Daniel and Laura had been working together in his office, pouring over the list of all the fictional locations they'd been writing up and drawing out detailed security plans for them all before Daniel had announced that he was tired of sitting in a straight backed chair. Ten minutes later they were in his room, safely away from any prying eyes and any outside distractions to keep them from working. In theory, anyway. Daniel was lounging in his sweats on one side of his bed, back propped against a pillow and looking casually between Laura and the stack of papers in his lap. "I'm not sure about these Homelands Briar mentioned, they seem pretty dicey. And if they're anything like the current state of Middle Earth we might need a better plan then going in and asking nicely if we can set up a few posts." He chewed on the edge of his pen cap thoughtfully, eyes flitting up to Laura again before landing back on the words in front of him, his voice dripping casual when he spoke again. "So. Did you have fun on Sunday?"
