The cocktail of drugs in Raff's actual cocktail was starting to really kick in now, but he wasn't shitfaced enough that he didn't notice that little lapse into something not quite right. He was fairly certain he hadn't heard anything about another brother before; not that it would've been out of character for Lรฉon to avoid mentioning him if he wasn't going to be around, but that combined with that little hesitation? Raff had been around long enough to know when there was a story there.
He was, however, far too shitfaced to even think about trying to pry the story out of her. That took a whole lot more wits than he was currently in possession of, especially after she invited him to come sit with her.
Well. Someone had to make sure she didn't tip herself off the balcony.
Raff ambled over to her and heaved himself up beside her; if his heart had still been beating, it would've sped up, maybe even skipped a beat. "Oh, it counts. I counted it, anyway, back after Cass turned up and before I got bit."
Not that he'd had all that much time between the two. Just a year. And not that Raff had been putting too much thought into it at that point. It was a harmless lie, though, if she wanted someone to... fucking affirm she was a valid vampire even if she wasn't dead. Raff didn't do many good deeds, but he thought this might be a night for them, between this and making sure she didn't fall to her death in the first place. "How long have you been one, if you don't mind my asking?"
