Who: Charlotte McBride (narrative)
What: Thanks to too many bad memories Charlotte splits for the trailer
Where: Just outside Portland, Oregon at Nick's Grimm trailer
When: Late Saturday night, October 1st
Warnings: NA beyond mentions of the protests and her past as a Trueborn
Just the idea of another virus being real scared Charlotte to death. The last time it happened was also right after she gained Nick and escaped the Trueborns once and for all so deja vu was sky high. So after a day of feeling like a sitting duck once word of protestors outside mundy hospitals became known she made a decision. "Time to head for the trailer." knowing Nick's trailer to the untrained eye looked like a simple hunting outpost. So once she warned those at the boarding house she was on her motorcycle and on the road for Portland (the upside of being in Eugene was no MTN hub so she could make her move via bike plus no school next week thanks to fall break). She and Nick however were talking the whole ride about plans and staying hidden along with getting word out about the Trueborns,"They have done this before, we can stay one step ahead." Nick reminded Charlotte and she knew the Grimm was right.
She whispered knowing her helmet was keeping it hidden,"Feels like I deserve this, for who I was." knowing in her head it was never her idea to grow up as a Trueborn while Nick was simply out to remind her she had no say in what happened but can change the now in so many ways. At a gas station she sent reports to the network of former Trueborns trying to keep everyone else in the loop. She then drove the last hour to the trailer outside of town,"For now we're safe." as she parked the bike and settled in for a very long week.
Only bright spot was Nick had stocked the place like crazy and she had added a small TV a few months ago. "You will let your caretaker know you're out here, just in case something does go wrong?" Nick made Charlotte promise.
"Fair enough." since for the moment she was fine and thankfully not ill.
