WHO: All members of Camelot. Throw them in here in separate threads based on who they're supposed to train with! ERRYBODY GET UP.
WHAT: TRAINING!
WHERE: The Lost Woods in Hyrule.
WHEN: Backdated to August 13th, the respective times for the departments.
WARNINGS: Definitely violence. Definitely cursing. Everything else TBD.
Lucas was more than a little giddy at the prospect of this training session, and it showed. He had a shit-eating grin, an extra pep in his gate, and...well. He pretty much announced it to everyone as they entered the training room with the exclamation "GOD I AM SO EXCITED!" every few minutes. Part of it was a tactic to put his trainees on edge--in a real battle, nobody was going to feel calm and at ease when they're getting ready to perform what he was training them to do--but part of it? Part of it was just plain sadism. Hyrule itself was filled to the brim with difficult tasks, treacherous terrain, and dangerous (and sometimes just annoying) monsters. Sometimes he used it alone to keep up on his own game, but it really did provide the perfect setting for training sessions, especially with a bunch of bottles containing healing fairies at the ready for any injuries they might sustain during the session.
Each session with the different departments all started the same way. He met them in the training room at the designated time, took them all to the portal that transported them to the Kokiri forest in Hyrule right by Link's old tree house, and then walked them the short distance to the entrance to the Lost Woods. It was a circular entrance, made out of what looked like a hollowed-out gigantic tree trunk, and nothing could be seen beyond it except darkness.
"Alright guys, here's the deal. The point of this exercise is to be able to evade and survive in a situation with close to no intel. You're unfamiliar with the terrain, the enemy, and your capabilities in here--but that's the point. Sometimes we're thrown into the things with the Resistance where we have to act blindly, and that easily leads to panic. And a lot of the times it's at moments you weren't expecting it. The objective is for you to navigate your way through the woods and to the forest temple. I'll be waiting at the end for you, Jess will be staying here to attend to any medical needs you guys might encounter. I've added some extra monsters throughout the area to give it a little bit more difficulty, but I've also hidden weapons for you all as well. If you look carefully, you should find weapons that each of you are skilled at. I'm not leaving you completely unarmed."
Lucas pauses then looks at them with a grin. "It's a lot like a maze in there, guys. Go through the wrong entranceway and it'll bring you right back here regardless of how far you got. Training ends when everybody reaches me. We're a team. This isn't every man for himself. Alright? Good luck."
With that, Lucas takes out a small Ocarina, plays a jovial tune, and disappears in a string of twinkling lights.
