Who: Andrei Kovak and Cadence Moreno
What: Brother and sister meeting for the first time since getting reincarnates!
Where: Encore Express Hotel, San Francisco
When: Sunday 3rd August
Rating: G. I'm pretty sure it's G. They're related.
When Cadence found out that she had become the vessel for a reincarnated angel she hadn't exactly expected things to turn out so awkward so quickly. After the gossip blog hit and she discovered that perhaps her feelings weren't quite so one-sided as she might have thought (though she felt like she had done a pretty good job of hiding that), she had spent a good day unable to concentrate on anything, particularly work. Instead she had sat alternatively listening to REDO albums while trawling through Tumblr to make sure Mark hadn't posted anything and eating all the foods contained in her kitchen. Eventually early on Sunday morning she had decided that enough was enough and she needed to seek out expert help for her situation... once she got back from church. Obviously.
After mass had finished, and she had been to confession (she had a lot to confess this week), she headed home to drop her keys off and figure out how she would find her help. She'd tried out teleporting recently and it had been okay. Not painful, fairly simple. Except that time she had been able to use a map. She had clear directions of where she needed to go because she knew what river she was going to examine. This wasn't so easy. She wanted to find her brother. She spent the rest of the morning trying to figure out how she would do this. Perhaps his phone (that he rarely seemed to answer, did he have it on silent or something?), or just really concentrating on what his face looked like. Then somehow she caught the idea of her name floating about in the ether, it felt warm and pleasant and without really thinking too hard about where it might take her, she latched onto the thought and disappeared from her apartment.
She found herself outside an ugly gated off parking garage on a busy street. This wasn't exactly what she had imagined. Turning, she looked around. This place looked run down yet somehow also thriving. There was a definite bustle to the place. Opposite there was a three story redbrick building that almost looked like it was shut down, but for the small entrance to one side proclaiming itself to be some kind of hotel. Perhaps this was where she was meant to be. Finding a crosswalk at the end of the street, she crossed over and made it back, ducking into the dim entranceway and blinking in the change of lighting. The person at the front desk looked bored with life but seemed obliging enough once she explained she had come to see her brother. He even gave her directions to the room.
That's where she found herself, pounding on a door in a dingy hotel and yelling through it like a crazy person. "Drew! Drew! Are you in there? It's Cadence!"
