The reincarnate virus had come as a shock to everyone, including all those inside the Resistance. It was an unwelcome shock, to learn that the very people you had been working so hard to puppet, had only turned around to bite the hands that were feeding them. Senator Scott and his team of sniveling office drones had been under the Resistance's thumb for months, so how had they achieved this monstrosity without the Resistance noticing? That sort of defiant behavior wouldn't be tolerated, and Adrienne's blood boiled just thinking about those smug idiots who clearly thought they'd gotten one over on their masters. Well. She'd show them. She'd show them all.
A few days had already passed since the all-magical cure had been distributed to the general public and people were starting to get back to their usual, annoying selves. Adrienne had never gotten sick, and she didn't know why, but she hadn't questioned it. Maybe because in some way she was always sick, being the reincarnate of Bellatrix Lestrange wasn't something one wore lightly. Over time, it had taken over every inch of her. She may not have been physically ill, but her mind was warped, her darker appearance taking on the permanent guise of an insane woman. It wasn't her fault, really, it was just the reality of her reincarnation, but Adrienne hardly cared. She hadn't cared in a very, very long time. But this? These hypocritical suits passing judgment on her, her husband, her dark lord? Thinking they could get rid of them all, just like that? They had to be taught a lesson.
She followed Robert Kingsley dutifully to the site of their chosen targets. Adrenaline pumped faster through her veins, her skin practically buzzing Adrienne was so excited. The night air cut through to her bones, but she didn't shiver. They entered the building, Adrienne clothed in all black with a skeletal mask over her face to conceal her identity, though it immediately raised an alarm. The person at the front desk screamed and sprang up from her chair, Adrienne grinned behind her mask as she waved her wand.
"Avada Kedavra."
