Who. The Avatar & The Omega. (Levi Haines & Miriam Cole.)
What. It's fucking healing time, man.
Where. Her home in Homestead, Florida.
When. A day after this.
Warnings. TBD.
Time. There didn't seem to be enough of it. And for all the powers that Levi did seem to have, being in two places at the same time didn't seem to be one of them. Which had seemed unfortunate enough when he'd been hauling ass to the reincarnate clinic with a dying man, but more so when he finally arrived at Sofie's house in sunny Florida. No. Miriam's. Miriam's house. Not Sofie's. And the house seemed to cement that - it looked normal, didn't hold a hint of what was actually inside. Not that he or Ben seemed to know either. The Omega. Somewhere in Miriam's brain was Sofie Bojakshiya. A name that Levi was able to pronounce long before Ben had taught him words in Russian than he'd never use in quiet conversations with his mother. Words in other languages too. Aramic. Latin. Ancient Greek. Fuck. Languages people didn't use anymore. All that knowledge swimming in his head and no way to use it.
But still, the sheer prospect of who that house held was enough to make him pause on the sidewalk, and to give himself enough time to glance warily at the windows above. Hopefully - but he'd take care of that. If she wasn't. Alive. If there was anyone on this godforsaken Earth who couldn't judge, Sofie and Miriam had to be among a very, very small group of like-minded people who wouldn't lynch or kidnap him. Sadly enough, his own family would be part of that group, and had made him question his decision to head back home. Not the smartest thing he'd ever done. He drew in a deep breath and shook his head. "Fuck it. Let's just do this." And the rest just happened. He walked up to the door, knocked on it loud enough to wake the dead and then let himself in and quietly stalked up the stairs - knocking one more time before he let himself into her room.
And then he looked at her, sheepishly, hands tucked away in his pockets. "Figured I'd let myself in." What, he was going to let her get the door in her condition? "But you probably saw that in your cards through the death card or somethin'."
