The place might as well have been out in the middle of the desert. Technically, it was right on the edge of it, but for all intent and purpose, the area was completely abandoned. Not a soul in sight, save for the souls inside, with nothing but the hot sun and the crows to bother them. The warehouse was once a factory, mostly used for the manufacturing of rubber, but it hadn't been used in the last five years. It was the perfect place to use for a rave, and you could tell from the remnants of glitter coating the warehouse floor that it probably had been.

It was also the perfect place to have a demon versus hunter show down.

The entire scenario of it all was inevitable, but that didn't mean Justin had to like it. Despite all his time with Jo, he still wasn't quite there. Still not completely in the mindset of a hunter, at least in that kill or be killed scenario. He wanted to believe there were still other options, that it didn't ever have to come down to this. But in Jo's life, it did, and apparently in this life there were demons out there still very keen on not letting things change. It was for Lillie and Cassie that he did this, and for Shane who'd been killed. Justin wasn't willing to let that happen to anyone else he cared about. Not Lillie or Cassie, and definitely not his sister. He just really hoped he didn't get eaten by hell hounds again this time around.

Elijah had managed to catch Jez when her guard was down, which was how they'd managed to get the demon here and into the Devil's Trap Justin had helped Cassie paint on the floor in the middle of the open space. Justin felt guilty on a number of levels, and only partially because Michelle had no idea what was going on. Jez was her charge, so they couldn't tell her which demon's blood they were using to do this ritual. If they had, she would have tried to stop them. And despite the fact that Justin still had a gnawing in his gut that told him if they did this there was no going back, to get rid of Lucifer, he knew what had to be done. Anything.

Jez was tied to a chair in the middle of the room inside the Devil's Trap, with many more painted around her as the hunters fully expected for there to be company, and Justin tried hard not to make eye contact with her. He shifted nervously where he stood, arms crossed protectively over his own chest and he cleared his throat before tilting his head toward the person nearest to him. They were standing a good distance away from the circle, but he still felt the need to whisper. "So... now what?"

"Now we get started," Elijah said solemnly from across the room, taking one last drag of his cigarette and flicking it to the floor, stepping on the embers as he made his way over to Jez. His typical arrogance was gone for the night; until tonight's work was done, he wouldn't be the mischievous demon these hunters had come to know and hesitantly trust. He wasn't much of a demon even on his best days, and ever since Shane had died, he'd been more vulnerably human than ever. And this need for vengeance, that was human, too. The plan, however, was strictly demonic. He'd traveled deeper into Hell than he'd ever wanted to, chasing rumors until he found the truth of this particular ritual. It was a difficult journey, but it'd be worth it. Once Lucifer and his bitch were gone.

Elijah paused at a table a few feet away from Jez, the demon he'd kidnapped because he needed her blood. That aspect of the plan he was completely guilt-free about, but he still wished Michelle was here. That she'd understand why this was necessary, but she wouldn't. She took her job as guardian angel too seriously, even when it applied to Lilith herself. Holding back a sigh, Elijah donned a pair of yellow rubber gloves, which were hilariously incongruous with the scene around him. Still, he had to have them. The knife he'd acquired had been blessed by some saint or another, and it had to be dipped in holy water to have maximum effect on Lilith. Very carefully, Elijah doused the knife and crossed the threshold to the imprisoned demon. He regarded her coldly.

"This is going to hurt," he said bluntly, and then he made two quick slashes, one in each arm. Lilith's blood began to drip into the lines of the devil's trap, which was etched into the ground with shallow grooves along with being painted. Elijah stepped out of the trap like it was nothing and watched the blood. After only a few seconds, it seemed to take on a life of its own, spreading throughout the lines though it dripped no faster from Jez's arms. He looked back over his shoulder at the nervous hunters, his expression blank yet determined. "Get ready. It's almost time."

Right now, life was fucking excellent. Here she was sat in the middle of a large abandoned building that had the suggestion of warehouse or something of similar ilk. The walls complained occasionally as they cooled in the night air. Around her, were a bunch of people that more than anything, she wanted to kill. Preferably slowly and involving as much pain as possible.

The only minor setback was the pesky Devil's traps that seemed to be doing a good job of limiting her powers. That and the ropes that had most definitely been soaked in holy water before being used to restrain her. The agony of them burning into her flesh had been enough to distract her from trying to hammer out with all her strength at the edges of the traps. Okay, so the initial assessment of her life reaching a peak may have been a little premature.

Still, she was doing her damnedest to stop herself from appearing to be a weak little girl. For Lilith, that was old hat. For Jezebel, not so much. Her breathing had become ragged some time ago as she fought to keep herself from crying out in pain, and her death glares had become few and far between. So focused was she on her immediate problems that she barely even noticed Elijah stepping into the circle. She glanced at him blindly, dulled senses telling her that he was saying something. Then things cleared into pinpoint sharpness and she screamed.

Everyone came into focus once more as she sucked in her breath, hissing it out again immediately. Whatever they had planned...she didn't particularly care. It meant nothing to her, and she would kill everyone they knew and loved before finally coming after them. And not one of them would have a quick death. She didn't waste the air she struggled to keep in her lungs by making her threats aloud. Until she freed herself they would all be empty promises, and Lilith was tired of being a joke.

The blood flowing down her arms was coating the lesions around her wrist, giving her some relief from the sting of the consecrated water. And that was enough to allow her to start struggling one more, even as she began to feel light-headed. The moment she was out of here, she'd kill someone. And she wasn't particularly fussy who it was.

"I always knew you were cunts." She spat venomously, pulling at her bonds and spreading the burns along her skin a little more.

"Yeah, that's original," Lillie scoffed before she could stop herself, though one look from Elijah kept her from saying anything else. That was one demon who meant business tonight, and pissing him off? Not on the agenda. The only thing she wanted to do was get this over with. Punish the bastards who killed Shane and keep them from doing anything like that ever again, whether it was to Justin or Cassie or any one of their siblings. What happened to Shane wasn't happening to anyone else, period, and Lillie didn't particularly care how they accomplished this goal. Just as long as they got it done.

Glancing over at Justin, Lillie gritted her teeth. She knew he didn't like this, and she knew there were a million things that could go wrong, and that more than anything was what made her keep her mouth shut. Normally she and Dean would be taunting Lilith, insulting and baiting her until the cows came home, but too much was at stake here. For the most part, Lillie tried to ignore the bitch. Even when she screamed. Lillie clenched her fists at that, but she just had to keep reminding herself. This is for Shane. For Christian. For everybody I can't lose. To hell with her.

And just when she thought she was about to implode from the anticipation, Elijah nodded. "The summons, Lillie." Taking a deep breath, she nodded and crouched low to the ground, over a complicated chalk symbol surrounded by candles. In the center was a bowl; Lillie held her left hand over it and started speaking in Latin as clearly as she could, even though her pronunciation was terrible. She bit her lip as she approached the end, taking a short knife out her pocket and sliding it across her palm. She only flinched when she squeezed her hand to get an ample amount of blood in the bowl with the rest of the ingredients for the conjuration. Then, saying the last few words, she lit a match and tossed it in with the blood. The concoction flared, and then went out. For better or for worse, the demons were on their way.

Lillie glanced up wryly at Justin, letting out a shaky breath. "Got a bandaid?" Then, over at Cassie, "Hey, next time, you do the Latin. My tongue feels weird."

At almost two years with Sam, hunting the big bads never got any easier for Cassie. Sure, she'd acquired the skills to accomplish what needed to be accomplished with less chance of death than she used to have--which wasn't really saying much considering how much experience she hadn't had back then--but it didn't make stomaching some of the stuff they had to do any easier. Jez harbored evil underneath that childish mask, and there shouldn't have been guilt spared for the reincarnate of a demon like Lilith. Unfortunately, feelings didn't always follow logic. She couldn't help feeling a twinge bad as Elijah cut into her arms. Maybe it was because they were currently doing something so bad that Michelle couldn't even be present to help them. Which meant those with the moral high grounds were two Winchesters and a Harvelle, so to speak, and she wasn't entirely sure their moral compasses were skewed towards angelic.

Still, doing this meant taking out some of their problems, if only temporarily. Demons--and even devils--had an annoying habit of resurfacing in other faces, just like the hunters. It was a literal eternity of battle, a war she was sure would rage far after any of the people in that warehouse were alive anymore. It certainly had a way of making a lot of things feel pointless.

The tension, already intense and stifling, multiplied as soon as Lillie tossed the match into the bowl to complete the summons. There was no turning back now, not even if they were to let Jez go and prepare themselves for her wrath in apology. Their targets were coming, a whole hell of a lot of power under one warehouse, straight from hell itself. And whether they were ready or not, people were going to die that night. She double-checked her shotgun, sawed-off and filled with consecrated rounds. It wouldn't kill a demon, but it would certainly sting and help round them into the traps if it was needed.

Tell me again why we let Dean read the Latin?

Cassie smirked but kept Sam's comment to herself, simply shrugging at Lillie. "It's not used to speaking stuff that requires reading," She said, giving Lillie a playful look that briefly distracted her from the fact that there was a girl bleeding out a couple of feet away from them. She pulled a rag out of her pocket and tossed it to Lillie, a quick fix for her bleeding hand. "I don't know about you guys, but I need a drink after this is done."

Justin didn't say anything for a good few minutes, privately disgusted with himself and those whose company he kept to a certain degree. Yes, getting rid of Lucifer and his psychotic sister Alastair was necessary, but the means? The cost? Justin wasn't so sure this was going to be worth it, especially if Jez just came back for revenge later. ... Come to think of it, Justin realized he didn't even know what their plans were for what to do with Jez after. It'd honestly never dawned on him, but watching the way Elijah handled the female demon now, he suddenly had a very bad feeling that this was going to end ugly. Jez was a bitch and Lilith was horrifying, but Justin couldn't bring himself to actually wish her dead. Maybe he really was too soft.

You need to focus and get that big fat head back on task, Anderson. Before you get us both killed! She's a demon. She'd kill you first if you give her half the chance. Don't give her that chance. Jo's words were full of anger, and Justin couldn't really blame her. After what had happened to her, the sacrifice she and her mom had to make in order to give the Winchesters a shot at the devil hadn't been easy to make. It was a sacrifice Justin wasn't too keen repeating anymore than Jo was, and he fully understood why she was so single minded when it came to demons. For the most part, Justin was too, except that being reincarnates tended to make the area a little more grey, didn't it? A demon's a demon.

"Yeah, I get it, Jo," Justin muttered under his breath. Jez's screams were still echoing unpleasantly in his ears and he cringed. He couldn't blame Jez for hating them, not after tonight. He was so distracted by his own reincarnate that he only caught the last half of what Cassie was saying. A drink? Justin was pretty sure he was going to need an entire bar. The ritual was done and their targets presumably on their way, a mysterious wind picking up around the place despite the fact that none of the doors or windows were open. Wide eyed, Justin turned to Lillie and grabbed gently onto her arm to hiss urgently in her ear. "What the hell are we gonna do with her after this is over? I mean. We can't just let her go? Right...?"

Humans were funny things, Elijah thought idly as he watched the three hunters from afar. Equally capable of good and evil, they were, and here he was, guiding them down a road Michelle would kill him for. This was decidedly against the Arrangment, no doubt about it. No act of good could balance out what was happening tonight, as justified as all of this was. As necessary. No matter how you looked at it, he was still paving their road to Hell.

The two Winchesters tried to ease the tension with stale jokes, but it was obvious even from a distance that Justin wasn't having it. There was a bigger problem in the room than the demons they were waiting for, and at the moment, he seemed to be the only one willing to acknowledge it. The demon they already had, the one who would kill them the second she got the chance. Justin was asking the one question Elijah didn't have an answer to. Not when the obvious answer was to kill Jez, too. Odd, considering he was a demon who typically planned for everything. But this? Why couldn't he stomach this?

Setting his jaw, Elijah purposefully turned away from his companions, allowing Justin and Lillie the illusion of a private moment even though it was difficult to pretend he wasn't hearing every word. "Justin, I -- fuck," Lillie hissed through her teeth, no doubt bandaging her bleeding palm. "Look, I know we can't let her go. Which leaves, what, one option? Which is one I'll take if we don't get lucky and Lucifer doesn't take her with him back to Hell." A pause, then Lillie continued, her voice softer now but no less determined. "I don't care who she used to be. I can't. She's Lilith now, and that's all that matters. I know we can't let her leave."

Funny how a human was more willing to do the dirty work than a demon was. Positively hilarious. Somewhere, a God was laughing at his expense, but Elijah didn't have time to care about that. He could feel the others getting closer. He put the knife down and pulled the rubber gloves off. "They're coming, if you're curious," he said clearly, much more casually than he felt. "Best get ready."

Sydney Delano had been in Sweetwater Texas, casually attending to a priest in dire need of repentance. She was just starting to get to the good stuff, just beginning to really make him scream, and then she was gone. Not by her own device, and it took Sydney a few seconds to realize she was being called. An annoyance, since she and Alastair weren't the sort of demon who was just called. Not unless it was by their Father, or superior the demon Lilith. But in this life, Sydney was the superior, not the reincarnate of Lilith, and Greg would never call for her this way.

By the time Sydney was ripped from the air and forced into the abandoned warehouse in a cloud of angry black smoke, she was furious. Even more furious when she crash landed right into the middle of a Devil's Trap and materialized out of the smoke. Covered in someone else's blood she rose to her full height, glaring out at the group of hunters through disheveled, black hair. She didn't know how they'd managed to pull this off, but they were going to fucking pay. Sydney's fury only grew when she spotted Jez tied up and bleeding a few feet away, and the growl she unleashed from her throat was inhuman.

"Oh look. It's the Hardy Boys and their beard." Sydney's hooded eyes had settled on Justin last, the smirk on her face as twisted as the rest of her appearance and she moved inside the circle, only to jerk back as if blocked by an invisible force. Breathing hard, she looked between them all and sneered, the demon in her completely in control and no sign of the girl Sydney Delano used to be anywhere. "Huh. A blood ritual? You Heaven-loving, righteous cunts have got some fuckin' nerve."

Justin's question hung in the air more present than the wind that was picking up all around them. He was talking to Lillie, but Cassie had overheard, and the resulting connotations left a bad taste in her mouth. Her gaze was locked on Jez, blood draining down so that she looked like nothing more than a little girl trapped in an ugly situation. She knew that Jez was Lilith, and because of that she would never trust--or like--her, but if they really thought hard on it they couldn't come up with a single instance in which the girl had wronged them. So killing her felt wrong, like Dean killing Amy. But that's where the conflict came in: after doing this to her, there was no way she wasn't going to retaliate, and big time.

Despite the fact that they had wanted the demons to come--that was the point of the entire ritual--as soon as it was announced that they were indeed on their way, Cassie felt an immediate twinge of panic in her gut. They were willingly facing Lucifer and Alastair together. This seriously felt like a suicide mission. Even with four against two--three if you counted the already out of commission Jez--the odds weren't in their favor. When Elijah told them to get ready, Cassie shot him a look. There wasn't really much more ready they could be.

"Not heaven-loving, just hell-hating," Cassie corrected with her voice full of disdain. Angels weren't exactly high on the Winchester list either, with a select few exceptions. They'd always gone out of their way to make sure Sam knew he was an abomination. People didn't just forget that. "You shouldn't really be cracking threats in your position, you know. Stuck in a cage and all."

"Stuck in a cage," Lucifer repeated the words in a taunting hiss. "Oh, the old familiar places, eh, Sammy?" His fingers were buried deep in his pockets and Gregory Delano sauntered into the light of the warehouse like a cancer. Smooth at first, quiet, but just as dangerous when spotted, as it was when it wasn't. He quirked a brow at the group, the demon, his sister in blood and bond. "Gettin' mighty brave, I see," Gregory glanced between Cassie and the demon that was the thing that wasn't like the others. "You know, if you wanted me to visit, all you had to do was ask. I'm very apt about rsvp-ing." He didn't have time for this. In fact, he didn't have time for any of this. To play their little games, to cater to their pathetic whims. Lucifer was growing impatient. His new game plan didn't involve Team Free Will and Puppies. Now they were just in his way.

"So, what is it this time?" He asked, narrowly avoiding the Devil's Trap that he could have easily stepped through without harm. "You don't call, you don't write. You use my children as a way to get to me. That's a little rude, don'tcha think?" It was never clear who was talking: the Devil or the Man. In hindsight, there was very little difference between the two of them. One, however, was growing more bored of this place than the other. It was only a question of which one that was. Unstoppable power was always finding itself limited in the body of a man. Something had to be done about that. Lucifer knew it. But no one knew it as well as Gregory did.

If they had a plan, they had better execute it soon. Otherwise, Greg intended to destroy everything they held up their sleeves, including their bones. It wouldn't necessarily stand as a tasteful death, but he would certainly feel better about the wasting of his precious moments. While he did have all the time in the world now, Lucifer didn't make a habit out of letting people get the better of him. Even if that included something as small as this pretentious little meeting. So, as the cats were away, the mice did play. They were planning something bigger than a reunion, and it didn't take a genius to see that.

Luckily for them, Greg was far more than that. He looked forward to seeing what they had for him.

The reincarnate of Lilith in the room was scary enough. The reincarnates of Lilith and Alastair in the same room was scary enough. Adding an honest to god (?) Satan into the mix made things so scary that at the sound of Greg's voice materializing out of the darkness, Justin couldn't not jump. Not an impulse that was easy to fight back the second time around when he actually caught sight of Greg. He'd never actually seen the guy in person before, and every rational instinct in him told him to run. That was what a sane person did when faced with the devil himself, but apparently Justin and his friends were far from sane.

Justin hadn't had any experience with this sort of situation, and Jo hadn't lived long enough to see it, so this was pretty new for both of them but Justin wasn't going to let that stop him from doing his job. Thankfully, as scared as he felt and the more disturbed he got with Sydney Delano's animalistic snarls, Justin didn't miss a beat. Just like they'd all planned before Elijah and Lillie performed the ritual that had gotten their enemies here, the very second Justin's ears picked up the poisonous tones of one Gregory Delano, he reacted.

Hunting was more right and wrong than grey area, for many of the hunters. Most of them probably. There were a few notable exceptions like Sam, but for the most part, a hunter's way of thinking was if you were a monster you deserved to die. But who got to decide what was a monster and what wasn't? Seems like people in general were pretty monstrous these days, but Satan definitely still took the cake on that front. Justin dug his hands into his front pockets and yanked out four rings, the four rings belonging to the Horsemen that they'd used to cage Michael and only ended up caging his lifeless body. He threw them down without a moment's hesitation, cringing and fully steeling himself to get blitzed by Lucifer. He shouted over Sydney's sudden bout of vicious shrieking at Cassie. "Uh... ANY TIME NOW, WITH THE LATIN?!"

Even though they were expecting the appearance of the demon and the devil, hearing Greg's actual voice when he arrived was startling enough that Cassie froze, large eyes locked on him as he moved forward and spoke. Most of her interaction with Greg hadn't been real, but his tricks on her mind, viewing him when nobody else could. Having him in front of her, completely real and even addressing her personally, made her veins turn to ice. The finger on the trigger of her gun twitched and she swallowed.

Be scared later.

It was easy for Sam to say, he wasn't faced with his own mortality. Sure, if she died, he died. But he could come back in another person, restart his life like he had in her. When she died, she would just be dead. And then they'd kill her friends, and her brother... Suddenly this wasn't feeling like a very good plan. What were they thinking trying to take them all on at once?!

"Yeah, we're not repeating history," She said as soon as Justin yelled at her, steadying her hands and shooting a glare. "Bvtmon Tabges Babalon." It was a short phrase, but it packed a punch. Within seconds the floor began to pull away where the rings were, revealing the swirling abyss that was Lucifer's cage. Cassie instinctively stepped closer to Justin and Lillie.

Well, this was inconvenient. The rings had been thrown right between where Sydney was still being firmly held in the Devils Trap and where Greg had been standing. Sydney was furious, throwing her whole body into attempting to break free of the trap like a rabid dog snarling and slashing at the bars of its cage. They were trying to cage her brother, the overconfident little shits, and as soon as she got free of this trap she was going to make them pay. No one touched her brother.

The floor opened up between them so quickly there was no time to react, but Sydney could feel herself being pulled, like gravity itself wanted her and her brother back in the earth. That was new. Her murderous eyes flashed to Jez tied to a chair, noticing for the first time the deliberate cuts along the demon's arms. They'd used Lilith's blood for a ritual. Well, they were little shits, but they weren't dumb little shits. Whatever they'd done, it was because of Lilith's blood that she and Greg were both being pulled toward the gaping hole in the floor.

It led so far down below you could feel the heat of Hell's fires on your face, and as much as Alastair would rather go home then stay up in this arctic craphole, Sydney needed to get free of this fucking trap and grab her brother before they were both pulled in. As those accursed rings swallowed up more of the floor beneath their feet and the inside of the Warehouse became nothing but an explosion of wind and noise, the force of the whirlwind wiped away some of the paint from the outer ring of the Devils Trap holding the demon Alastair hostage.

"Hmmm." Almost on cue Sydney stopped thrashing against her own personal cage then and came to an eery standstill, peering out from behind a curtain of messy black hair at the hunters and grinning at them wolfishly with a low hiss. "Guess these things don't hold up so well after all. You should really look into that."

She made one move towards them, one single step, and then the earth grabbed a firm hold on her. Sydney's tiny frame lurched as she tried to move again, her dark eyes squinting in confusion and face screwing up in anger as she felt herself being yanked backwards. "Gregory?" Her gaze only briefly landed on Greg before she was forcibly pulled into the hole with her last parting words (something along the lines of "Oh, shit.") and a scream of fury that echoed from the depths as she disappeared from view for good.

With the distraction of Sydney's arrival, and subsequently Greg appearing too, Jez had the time to really fight against her bonds. Despite her rapidly deteriorating condition, Lilith had recognised the patterns her blood was forming. Everything about this set-up made her nervous. Actually nervous. So she pulled against the ropes securing her arms, no longer caring how much it hurt. Those were problems that she and Jez would deal with later. Her left arm, she found, had slightly more give to it, and with a few more seconds struggle, she curled up hand awkwardly and pulled it loose, barely even registering how much skin had sloughed off in the attempt.

She fumbled with the rope around her other arm, then pulled that free before attending to her legs. Somewhere in the back of her mind where the mortal girl was beginning to melt into Lilith there was a complaint that they couldn't continue like this. Blood still drained from her arms, and there surely wasn't much longer until it became very serious. But none of
that mattered.

Suddenly what mattered most was the fact that the floor had opened up to something that felt incredibly familiar. This wasn't supposed to happen. Her blood had once made an end to this. That they could pervert her body in this way, use it to send Lucifer back to hell... The last rope ripped free and she leapt from the chair, a little unsteadily, throwing herself at the edge of the trap with a snarl. A solid wall of nothing met her escape attempt, and the blonde woman bounced backwards somewhat startled.

The rituals power whipped around the room, throwing frizzy blonde hair into her face. Jez was finding it increasingly more difficult to concentrate. The scream distracted her for a moment. Perhaps it was her own...but no. That was Sydney she had just seen slipping down towards the pit. Jez's eyes flashed towards Greg. She couldn't let him follow his sister. He belonged here. With her. With Lilith. Where they would crush the human souls under their heels and revel in their pain. The small woman's face contorted in fury, as her eyes clouded to a milky-white. She might not have full access to her powers within a devil's trap, but it sure as hell wasn't going to hold Lilith for long.

It took a couple of seconds to concentrate on what power was available to her. Wrap it up in her mind ready to throw it in the direction she needed it to go. And then, in a move entirely reminiscent of Lilith's child-like demeanour, she stomped her foot.

The ground around her splintered, concrete fracturing like a smashed windshield. The trap marked out on the floor was ruined. Jez threw herself forward in the direction of Greg, her legs wobbling like a newborn fawn for two steps, then she collapsed on the ground. Her vision darkened at the edges, and threatened to black out entirely. Apparently significant blood loss was still a problem for Lilith while she was tethered to this mortal body. "Lucifer." She pleaded, desperate to reach him. Stop him being taken away from the world again. All she succeeded in doing was clawing blindly at the ground.

It was in this moment that Lucifer truly envied his Father's omniscience. To be everywhere at once, to know everything before its true happening: that was real power. To say he saw this coming would be a lie, and even then, he could never admit to such a weakness. Gregory didn't do weaknesses: nor did Lucifer. And yet, without a second thought, he had been bested. Bested by the very group he'd lost to before. Minus and plus a few new and old faces. It didn't matter. The result was very much the same. Before he was given time to retaliate, the rings were thrown and everything was pulling against him. He was working against a tide of unforeseeable events now.

All the while, as he planned his own future, this group of imbeciles was busy planning one of their own for him. How very much like him they were. It was clever and it was, dare he say it, downright evil. If he wasn't so amused, he might actually find himself angry. But perhaps this was the way things were meant to happen. Reincarnation was a funny thing. They could try as they might to destroy him, but he would only return in a matter of seconds, minutes, days. They would always find themselves glancing over their backs again. It was a futile effort and one day they would simply grow tired of putting a lid back on what they couldn't truly contain. That just so happened to be Lucifer himself.

Gregory, however, would not live to see another day. No, the force of the trap was growing stronger with every passing moment, and he was drowning in the plunge. He saw his sister's face, the vision of the blonde doing all she could to keep him from reaching this demise. Everything was quickly plummeting out of control and the doctor was finally headed to the place all souls like his fell to in the end of all things. He didn't say anything. He did all he could to fight the inevitable, but there was no use. Gregory held on for dear life, grimacing at the sight of losing his sister.

Suddenly a wave of realization struck over his features, and a grin spread across his face. He watched everyone's faces with a broad smile that overtook every inch of his face. He removed his hands and he fell, down, down, down. And what followed after him was the echo of a laugh so powerful it seemed to shake the Heavens above as it finally swallowed up Lucifer for the final time.

There wasn't a proper word to describe the anger that both Austin and Azazel felt in the moment that they were summoned to the warehouse by the damn hunters and their bitch of a demon traitor. It was luck where he'd landed; a dark corner, free of Devil's Traps, untrapped and able to fight when the moment presented itself. But acting immediately meant interrupting his father, and no demon--not even Azazel--interrupted Lucifer when he was talking. That was his mistake, his fatal flaw. He hadn't acted sooner, expecting the hunters to fuck up in some way that would lead to them all being slaughtered for even daring to summon so much power into one area. Once the rings were down and the incantation was spoken, there was nothing he could do to save his family. Attempting to get to them would result only in him being sucked into hell as well.

No, he had to act separately and accept their fate. From earth, outside of the cage, he could avenge them and murder those damn humans in their names. Azazel had worked decades to open Lucifer's cage and hadn't lived to see it happen; now he was being forced to watch Lucifer thrown back in along with Austin's own cousin. That wasn't something that could be forgiven.

As soon as the cage began to close itself, an automatic response to swallowing up its proper owner, the walls and roof of the warehouse began to shake violently. Austin stalked forward from the shadows, eyes as yellow as Azazel at his worst as cracks formed in every Devil's Trap they created. Simple cracks that broke the power. Cassie had already begun to move towards Jez, her gun raised when she realized the girl had broken free of her bonds. But with a simple glare from Austin, the girl flew backwards into her two hunter comrades. Then, before any of them could regain their composure from the floor, he was using his powers to slam them backwards and hold them to the walls--demon friend included. His powers were driven by his anger, and right then he was pissed off.

"You've all made a big mistake," He growled. He would have loved to stay and rip them apart one-by-one right there, make Sammy watch Dean torn apart again, or make Dean relive Jo's death. It would have been poetic justice. But a feeble noise from Jez brought him to his senses. He needed to get his sister demon out of this place.

He bent down to hoist her up in his arms, eyes continuously trained on Team Free Will, before he disappeared with Jez in the blink of an eye.
