What: Harvey's birthday party
Where: The Bennett house in Chula Vista, CA
When: Thursday night, July 15th 2010
Warnings: EVERY KIND OF WARNING THEIR IS. Copious amounts of alcohol and beautiful people? When you drink with the Serenity crew, always expect bar fights and naughty times. It's just a given.

When it came to a good party, Alex was all business. She'd arrived that afternoon loaded down with various supplies, most notably a case full of make up, a bag full of clothes and a bottle of tequila. For two hours she and Clem had drank and dressed each other up, though Alex was a much more willing participant in the latter than Clem was. After she'd finally gotten Clem into a dress and made her stay in it, she squeezed herself into her favorite red number and the party really began.

As expected, Mr. Bennett was already drunk as a skunk with his daughter and her friend not too far behind him. People started arriving around seven, and half way through the swing of things Alex had taken it upon herself to play fake hostess since Harvey was too drunk too remember to do it and Clem was too busy falling all over herself to pour straight. It was a good ass night.

Currently Alex was draping herself across the kitchen counter as she poured some random a shot of vodka and sent him on his way. "CLEEEEMM! COME TAKE ANOTHER SHOT WITH MEE!"

One might wonder what Holly Strange was doing at a party like this. Well, what wouldn't she be doing at a party like this? She'd seen the post on the boards, that was probably the most open invitation she'd ever seen, so how could she not take advantage. She'd arrived with a couple friends who she'd eventually lost track of. Holly had a tendency to wander and the more fucked in the head she got off of booze and drugs the shorter her attention span seemed to get.

The room was spinning. Holly had been dancing in the middle of the living room for the past hour, not with anybody in particular, just swaying to the music with her drink in hand. When she started feeling too dizzy she stopped and slowly stumbled her way into the next room. She plopped herself back first against the side of the bar, eyes closed for a moment as she sank into the solid support behind her and sighed. This was the life. Sort of.

She opened her eyes and finally noticed the woman standing next to her, blond and cute in a very out of place sort of way. Holly could spot the awkward ones a mile a way and this one looked like she was ready to jump out of her skin at a moment's notice despite the way she was carrying on with her drink. Hmmm. "Hey," Holly called out to her, not very loudly despite the din of noise that was their surroundings, her gaze glassy and unfocused as she leaned forward. "Any idea where the girl's room is?"

Awkward as hell in a place like this? Check. Needing to keep a hold on her drink and hope to god someone saved her from this spot where she could only keep standing and not do much? Maybe not so much of a check but definitely a relief. At least she didn't jump when a girl leaned over and asked her a question, no matter how drunk she looked.

Evie didn't even know how drunk she looked, but she hadn't bothered looking into a mirror since coming here.

"Oh! Um. I think its..." She trailed off, looking around. She had no idea where the hell the bathroom was. "I think there's one upstairs? I'm not sure where the one down here is, but..."

She trailed off, biting her lip and looking at Holly, wishing she could be more help then any of that. Especially to a very hot girl. Damnit.

Holly studied her. She could definitely stand to loosen up a little, and who better to help with that then Holly Strange? She had a purse full of things that never failed to make a person let go for the night. Or even for just a few hours, but they were a good few hours that's for damn sure. Otto Page was a godsend.

There was a flicker of a smile and a jerk of her head in the direction the woman had pointed in. "Wanna come with? Got something you might be interested in."

Holly didn't wait for a response, she turned around and started weeving through the crowd with her drink held high so no one knocked it out of her hands. She had faith that the girl would follow, they always did.

Yes. Yes, she wanted to go with her, if more for the fact that she had the time to talk to her, hell, had the time to say hello in the first place. Evie definitely thought that she had made a new friend, then, and she followed her a little slowly.

She had to push through the crush of people at times, but luckily with her drink held high, she was able to find her easily enough. Though she didn't know what she would be interested in, but maybe bathroom buddies was just like it was in school; make sure no one took your purse while you were there.

Holly had been to enough parties that she was pretty much an expert at getting through huge crowds without much trouble, though a couple glances back told her the woman could not say the same. She'd also been to enough parties that she knew the general lay out of most houses, or at least could feel them out pretty well. While this was pretty much mansion sized, she still found a downstairs bathroom with relative ease. Except that when she opened the door, it was to a guy and girl more or less going at it.

"Oops. My bad." Holly smirked, shutting the door quickly and turning to the blond who'd finally caught up with her. "Upstairs?" And then she led the way up a staircase and down the wall, walking like she'd been here before but obviously she hadn't. Her walk still had a bit of a sway to it and she paused for a moment to take a swig of her beer before beginning to peer into the open doors that they passed. Aha, victory. An unoccupied bathroom. She ushered the other girl inside and closed the door, immediately dumping the contents of her purse out onto the counter by the sink. She had so much shit in there, she didn't want to waste time digging around for it. "Got a name?"

Wait a second, why was she still following her? Who knew. She was able to mumble out a 'sure' when she heard her say upstairs, and she followed her slowly, making sure that she didn't stumble over her heels and then drop her glass and then have to watch it fall and crash all the way down to the floor.

But then she was inside a bathroom, and put the toilet seat down and took a seat, taking a long sip from her drink, her eyes widening as she saw all of the stuff on the counter. Not...where she thought this was going.

"Huh? Oh! Eve. It's actually Evelynn but everyone calls me Eve, or Evie, it doesn't really matter for me, it's just a name, nothing special to it.." Great, now she was rambling.

"Nice to meet you, Evie. I'm Holly." She stopped searching through the contents of her bag spilled out on the counter to briefly shake Eve's hand. She'd caught the wide eyed look and had to fight from smirking wider, she did enjoy freaking out the new ones with this. Hopefully Eve wasn't too freaked out to go on this ride with her. "Pretty cool party, though it could be a lot more fun. There's a lot of weird characters here."

Finally Holly found it, a very small bag of pills that she'd just procured from Otto two days ago. They were small and white with little happy faces etched on each one of them. Guaranteed hours of fun with these little pills. She took one out and place it on the tip of her index finger, holding it out for Eve to see. "Want to? I promise it's safe. You'll just be real happy for awhile."

"Uh..." She couldn't get the words out as she shook her hand, but she did manage to smile awkwardly. "Yeah, there's a lot of people here...I don't even know half of them. Well, actually, I know a few, but I didn't really get a chance to say hi to them or anything like that."

She took another sip of her drink because now she was nervous. Really nervous. Really really nervous. Was this what DARE all the way up to high school had tried to prepare her for? It was a lot more nerve wracking then they had previously described.

"I...um. It's not going to eat away and make holes in my brain?" She joked nervously. Simon was doing a very good job of shaking her mentally, so she said to hell with it.

"Okay."

"I don't know most of them, so we're more or less in the same boat." Holly honestly didn't understand people's aversions to drugs. It was the fear of the unknown? But drugs weren't scary, at least they weren't supposed to be. The people that made them scary were the dumbasses that didn't handle them responsibly. Holly definitely did, she liked drugs, but she wasn't willing to die for drugs. Just have fun with them once in awhile. Okay, so more then once in awhile...

"Sweet. Naw, it definitely won't. You'd have to pop like ten of these at once to do anything like that," Holly told her, holding the tiny pill out for her to take before twisting around to get one of her own and place it on the tip of her finger. "Don't worry. I've done this a million times. This party's about to get a lot more fun." Her eyes gleamed mischievously and she smiled at her new friend before tipping her head back and pressing the pill into her mouth.

"This sounds so cliche, but I guess one can't hurt," Evie smiled a little, taking the tiny pill in her hand and looking down at the smiley face on it for a long minute before she popped it back, feeling it dissolve on her tongue.

"So, uh. If this party is gonna get more fun, what's this going to do?" She asked, her eyes close as she waited for it to take effect. She had set her drink down on the back of the toilet, since she figured she probably wouldn't need it unless this made her really really thirsty. Or if she became thirsty again.

Oh crap, please don't let Zac ever look in my head and see this, she couldn't help but think to herself.

"Not cliche, it's the complete fuckin' truth," Holly smiled, eyes closed and her head still tipped back at an angle as she swallowed the pill and felt it go down her throat. In just a mere thirty minutes they'd both be rolling. High as mother fucking kites. She couldn't wait.

Holly swayed a little where she stood and immediately grabbed on to the corner of the counter top behind her to steady herself and she straightened up, forcing her eyes open before she answered her. "Is this your first time? If so you're in for a real treat. This is the best goddamn source for euphoria there is. Perfect for a party like this, you don't need to know anyone to start feelin' good."
