Who: Ren Wentworth, open to anyone who might be at the X-man Mansion
What: Now that he's got his wings back, Ren is taking full advantage of them...complete with musical accompaniment.
Where: Westchester mansion in Illinois
When: Friday, January 14, 2012 [slightly backdated]
He was the one who had made that stupid wish about wanting to know what it was like not to have wings, and, now, he didn't know why. Sure, clothing wasn't an issue, and he didn't have to worry about them busting out, but he had been miserable without them. The moment he discovered he had them again, he flew everywhere he could to make up for lost time.
But, with his leader duties, there was only so much flying he could do. This needed taken care of. That needed put away. These team members were fighting. These ones were slacking. He didn't know how Xavier or Scott did it, and that was with a much bigger team. He'd grow into it with time...hopefully. The last thing he wanted to do was let everyone down. Well, actually, the last thing he wanted to do was give to someone not a reincarnate of Charles Xavier. Then he didn't want to let everyone down.
As soon as he had the time, though, he was going to get out and stretch his wings. Who cared if it were freezing outside? All he had to do was bundle up before he took to the skies, right? Fortunately, Warren's Angel costume was designed to accommodate for different temperatures. That was the nice thing about it, since he wasn't about to tear wingholes in his winter coats if he could help it.
He spent hours flying around the mansion and surrounding areas. As he flew, he could have sworn he heard the musical accompaniment from Up, but he was chalked it up to his being ridiculously happy that his wings were back and sitting in for part of Kylie's watch of the movie. Finally, though, he had to come back down to earth. Reluctantly, he swooped down toward the building.
As he was, though, he spotted a figure standing in front of the building, so he changed his course. Angel gave a little twirl in midair, then descended, spinning as though he were performing a double axle. "Can I help you?" he crooned as he touched down. Ren made a face at the impromptu dance and singing. When it registered, a look of horror dawned on his face.
Shit. He was caught in this musical hell, too.
And the music was still going.
What was his life?
