Who: Tristan Lewis and Charlotte Evans
What: Meeting for dinner.
When: Thursday evening, June 24 2010
Where: Camelot Castle
Warnings: Uh, none?
After a somewhat uneventful day of the same old training and puttering around the in the magics department, Tristan did something that he'd been doing for the third night this week. He went back to his room, washed up and got into fresh clothes, and met Charlotte Evans for dinner. The first time they'd met face to face, the day they'd spoken on the boards, Tristan had been a bundle of nerves. Talking to her on the boards was sure to be much different from in person, and in person from afar she was intimidating enough. Strikingly beautiful, fairly confident, radiating intelligence, and young. Tristan didn't know how old she was, but he knew she must be young. Possibly not much over the age of eighteen, and he really didn't know what to do with that. He'd never met anyone quite like her, and yes they were both technically going to live forever so age didn't really matter anymore did it? Still, something about this felt entirely too wrong for Tristan to do anything about, and probably never would. One thing he had always been good at was walking that fine friendship line and for the moment he was content just to get to know her, so this dinner arrangement suited him just fine. It's possible she'd never be interested in someone like him anyway, so really, he was being an idiot for nothing.
After showering and getting dressed, at seven o'clock on the dot (Tristan Lewis was never late for anything) he made his way into the small east kitchen in Camelot Castle. Charlotte was already there and his breath caught in his throat when he saw her, afterward immediately ordering himself to stop being this ridiculous. She wasn't interested, and he shouldn't be interested, she was probably just meeting him out of pity. Oberon just chuckled.
"Fancy meeting you here," he tried for a joke as he made his way to her table and sat down across from her. At this point it was already something of a routine, but quite possibly the most enjoyable one he'd ever participated in.
