Ruby was a bundle of nerves, both good and bad, when it came to the events of the day. While she was excited that her baby girl was growing up and would probably be walking on her own two feet soon, it only reminded her how fast the year had gone. She had gotten her first major book almost published and she had the rough start of a sequel that she hoped to run by her editor, as well as Geoff and Cho when she could. Or she had enough confidence to do just that. Though, in all honesty, Ruby was very afraid that the book wouldn't do that well since she hadn't published much work, besides her articles at the Daily Prophet, and it didn't help that her mother-in-law was famous. She had just worked on repressing those thoughts, she was just overreacting. Though sometimes the words of reassurance soothed her nerves. Still, she needed time with her mother. She wanted to catch up and see how she was doing. The tablets were okay, but it didn't satisfy the person in person contact that Ruby was yearning for as she put on a kettle of water for tea as she tidied up the flat, making sure that the writing materials were in the office and keeping a careful eye on Olivia. Geoff was running some errands and he mentioned that he would be back this evening, so it'd just be the girls for now. But right now, Liv was still using the coffee table for a support to walk and the second her little hand let go of it, she would fall on her bum and no tears were shed before she tried again. She was one determined little girl, Ruby would admit to that much. |
