Who: EVERYONE? Basically anyone that can legit find a reason to be at this party!
What: Thanks to Abigail it's become common knowledge that Lydia has the apartment to herself until Saturday, so it's party time at the Apostolos place! Tons of people get invited and it may swing a little out of control when some gods begin to arrive with their vessels!
Where: The Apostolos Apartment above the Antique Shop and Showroom.
When Friday at eight!

Everything had to be perfect, so that meant cleaning not only her stupid room but Phil's and her mother's master bedroom too. She left the stupid temple room for last and just before she got picked up to do shopping with Abigail she said, "fuck it!" and just hoped no one would go in if she told them not to. As much as she didn't give a shit about the offerings to Apollo she did give a shit about her mother's wrath at a wrecked altar. It was important to her, blasphemous to remove anything until Corrine did the proper rituals. God she hoped drunk ass fools wouldn't wreck shop there!

Hours later (and after WAY to many trips into fitting rooms for someone like Lydia) she was hosting her first legit Manhattan party. It wasn't swank (hell, it wasn't a loft or studio, but three bedrooms was pretty big regardless) and she was sure there were more hoppin' places to go that night but at least she would have her girls and Oliver. Those were the only people she cared about.

And then everyone and their moms showed up. Christ, she was just thankful that someone had the bright idea to invest in food as well as alcohol. There were bowls of chips and dip on a table in the middle of the living room and in the fridge was so much beer she didn't even think there was room for any actual food in the damn thing! She had purchased a couple bottles of liquor for shots and kept them in the freezer and someone thought to bring even more so there was no end to the possibilities of how fucked up they could get. On her television through her brother's x-box live she brought up Zune that was playing through some pretty good music, a playlist of things she, Abigail, and Lori all liked.

This was either going to be stupidly epic or an epic fail or maybe? Maybe both.

Ollie arrived a little late, letting himself into the familiar apartment and giving the room a look over. There was Lyd, chatting to some bloke he didn't recognise and looking a little flustered. Oliver grinned in her direction and lifted a hand in vague greeting before moving towards the kitchen. As requested, he'd brought a few bottles - shoved into the bag he had slung over his shoulder - and he added them to the collection that had appeared to have sprouted on the side.

Quite frankly, after yesterday he needed to get completely blind drunk. It seemed like the ou logical reaction to e fact that he'd managed to make a complete tit of himself. Even if it hadn't exactly been unenjoyable... Oliver heaved a large sigh and chucked his bag to one side, along with his coat and scarf and went to help himself to a drink. He poured himself a generous measure from one of the open bottles of spirits., making himself a vodka and coke ewhere the ratio seemed to swing in favour of the alcohol rather than the mixer.

Glass in hand, he turned to lean back against the sideboard, giving the room a sweep for a familiar, or at least a friendly, face.

After the whole tour was given to Sam she excused herself, still very red in the cheeks, to stand by Oliver. Lydia clutched her beer tight in her hand and leaned in toward him, hand lifted so she could whisper.

"This lawyer guy is totally flirting with me and I am the worst at flirting back!"

But she lowered her hand and shook her head. "God Lori needs to show up so I don't have to worry about it any more!"

Ollie grinned as Lydia approached him, ducking his head a little so he could catch what she was saying into ear. He and Lyd had known each other since he'd first come to New York and started up at College, where they'd shared some classes. He laughed into his drink as he scanned the room, finally picking out the bloke she'd been talking to.

"You can't have been doing too badly," he pointed out. "He was following you round like a puppy. Did you take him into your room?" He raised his eyebrows playfully in her direction, his smile teasing. "Fast worker, aren't you?"

"Where is Lori?" he added, lifting his own glass to his lips and draining it in several large gulps.

"He was merciless, I think he got off on my inability to flirt properly. Besides he's like.. older, or whatever," the guy was a total hunk but she could tell he had to be five years or so her senior. Not that it was a bad thing but she was just making excuses for herself.

"UH no! I did NOTHING in my room except show it off and then promptly return here!! Jerkface," she slapped his arm playfully then set her hands on her hips as she looked around the living room. She spotted the other Sam talking to someone and she looked away, elbowing Oliver.

"She's still at work... that dude I know. His name is Sam. He's kinda cute too, helped me kill a bug the other night. He's a doctor," and he had a killer smile.

Oliver couldn't help but laugh, rumpling the hair at the back of his head with his free hand, sticking his bottom lip out in a pout as she slapped his arm. He glanced up in the middle of helping himself to a bottle of some weird foreign spirit he'd found in the little shop close to his apartment. The bottle was shaped like a guitar, which he thought could only be a good thing.

"A lawyer and a doctor?" he asked, looking up at her as he poured. "You'll be one of those Stepford Wife-types by Christmas at this rate. Then I'm afraid I'll have to replace you." He shoved a shot glass full of spirit into her hand and clinked his own against it with a bright smile, before lifting it to his lips to throw the mouthful back.

J-S hadn't entirely been sure he was in the right place at first, his social anxiety flaring up like a bucket of kerosene onto a bonfire. Walking through the crowd, his heart pounding, hands sweating, he managed to pick out Oliver's voice, heading towards it as if the man held the cure for something that would kill him within the next ten seconds.

"...hi," J-S said shyly once he arrived, all the energy and enthusiasm disappearing, leaving behind the quiet, bashful boy.

Oliver pulled a face around the taste of the drink. Okay, so the guitar bottle was a bad plan. But it still looked kind of cool. Perhaps that was just to distract you from the fact that it was burning every inch of his throat on the way down.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" he managed. And then there was a quiet voice piping up beside him and he turned quickly towards the source. Oh, fantastic. There he was, being all cute and nervous, and here he was swearing a blue streak. That came across well.

"Uh... Hi!" He grinned across at J-S, hoping without hope for some kind of smooth recovery. "You made it!" He gestured to Lydia. "This is Lydia. It's her flat. Lyd, this is J-S. We met uh..." he hesitated, "Last night. On the subway. Kind of." He hadn't quite got round to explaining that yet.

"You want a beer?" he asked, turning back to the dark-haired newcomer.

Lydia had just been about to grill him about what happened to when the shot was handed to her. She was getting a little out of control with these but took it anyway, cringing at the taste.

"Gooooodddd, what was that??!"

She washed it down with beer and then turned to see the cutest boy quietly saying hello. OH and they had met YESTERDAY?? HMMM... Lydia smiled wide, head swimming slightly.

"HI! Welcome!!!! Get a drink! Have a shot!! We might set up the x-box in a bit and see who can dance the best with that stupid dance game!"

She smirked at OLiver and wiggled her eyebrows before glancing around the room. She nudged him with her elbow.

"I'll be back.. later," wink wink. Off she went to bug someone else, now considerably more social and less awkward with a few shots in her.

"Hi Lydia, nice to meet you," J-S said with a polite nod, standing close to Oliver, happy to see him again. He felt lame being so excited, though at least he could hide it well enough. He hoped. "It's a very....it's a nice flat, I like it."

Smooth, J-S, very smooth. So much for French people being suave, there went that stereotype.

"I would love a beer, thank you," J-S said, relief sweeping over him. Maybe if he was a bit drunk he'd be more fun.

Ollie shot Lyd an exasperated look as she swanned off, obviously bouyed up on alcohol and about as subtle as a tank. Why were all his best friends as mad as brushes? He watched her go for a second, before turning back to J-S with a smile. It was odd to see him here, outside of the weird lighting in that office they'd been stuck in and instead in an environment that was familiar. Not bad. Not bad at all, actually. But just... odd.

"Here," he turned and reached over to the collection of beers, selecting one and popping the lid off using the side of the work bench. Luckily it didn't leave a mark behind, and Ollie passed the bottle over to J-S before reaching over to collect one of his own.

"I didn't know if you were going to come," he admitted, cracking open his own beer and taking a gulp.

"You invited me," J-S said with a bashful smile, as if Oliver's invitation would mean he would go anywhere. Though he had to admit, that was kind of the case at the moment, he was crushing pretty hard on the man he'd already slept with. Now he was too bashful to even take him by the hand.

Taking a beer, he had a long drink of it, once again hoping for some liquid courage. It wasn't bad, wasn't what he was used to, but it wasn't bad.

"Thank you for inviting me though, I appreciate it, I mean, we saw a lot of each other yesterday."

'Saw a lot of each other.' Well, that was definitely one way of putting it. Oliver had decided the best way to go about things with J-S was just a hell of a lot of backpeddling. If what had happened in the office happened again - and he wasn't totally opposed to the idea - he'd rather it happened in a bedroom, preferably once they knew each other surnames and had been out a few times. Call him a traditionalist, but there it was.

"That's okay," he commented, with a shrug. "I figured I at least owed you..." he hesitated, creasing his brow in a playful frown. "... One of Lydia's beers." Oliver gave a low chuckle, glancing down at the bottle in his hands.

"So have you heard anything back from the police?" he asked.

"Not a word, I think they were keeping us there to torture us," J-S said between sips of beer, relaxing a bit now, even giving Oliver a nice smile. He was happy to see him again, and in a better scenario than being locked up. This was nice, and there was beer involved, so he would take this any day.

"Thank you for the beer, though now I feel like I owe you...maybe...did you want to do a Star Wars marathon one night? I was thinking that I haven't had one for a while," J-S suggested, not sure if he was being too forward, but it was worth a try.

"I dunno if torture's worse than just forgetting about us," Oliver commented dryly, leaning back against the counter as he nursed his bottle of beer.

He smiled and nodded at the suggestion, feeling his cheeks colour slightly. "Sure," he agreed, trying not to feel too pleased. "Sure I can fit that in round my hectic nine to five." His work did sometimes drag on into the evenings, but one good thing about being at the bottom of the pile in the office was that he didn't often take his work home with him.

"D'you live close to here?" he asked, taking another sip of his beer.

"Not too far, just a subway trip away, I'm in north Brooklyn," J-S said, though part of him wished he could claim residence at the ritzy condo owned by his, well Hnossa's, stepfather. "I'm looking at possibly moving into Manhattan, I'd like to be closer to school and...well, everything."

He grinned widely as Oliver accepted the invitation, his heart skipping a beat.

"Excellent, I can't wait, too bad I don't have that bathrobe any more, I could have gotten right into the spirit," J-S joked, though he wasn't sure if it was funny or not. "How about you? Where do you live?"

"Worst comes to worst I'm pretty sure I saw some brown curtains in a skip on my way here," Ollie shot back, deadpan, although the joke was given away by the faint smile he allowed himself when he took another sip of beer. Oliver had always had a very sarcastic, dry sense of humour. It was something some people had to work to get used to, especially here.

"I've got a studio apartment about a five minute walk away," he shrugged. "It's small, but it's close to work and these guys. I pay a bomb for it, though. Bloody ridiculous." Still, Oliver had come to New York five years ago without knowing a single person, so he was used to living on his own. And he had Lyd and Theo within throwing distance, so it wasn't too bad.

"Good, we can make two robes then, get some paper towel rolls, we'll make lightsabers," J-S said with a grin, picking up on his sense of humour, loving it. He liked dry senses of humour, it was much more his speed.

"That's cool...probably a lot nicer than my uncle's," J-S wondered if they should have the movie marathon there, but he didn't want to volunteer Oliver's house for him. He wished he could use Hnossa's mother's place, though he'd have to ask about that, and that would be a little weird to explain. Yeah, come on in, one of the nicest buildings in New York City, owned by a famous model...yeah, his wife is related to the goddess in me!

"I need to move somehow, I go to school at Columbia, so the trip is a pain most mornings, I want to be able to sleep more," he said.
