Achievement Unlocked. The data collected from the power grid was safely uploaded and transmitted to Stark labs via JARVIS, Peter and David were free to make good on their plans to skip off somewhere and find something to eat. Peter kept the suit on, meaning Prodigy was left to do the leg work -- the hunting and gathering of the elusive Tuesday night fair. Pad Thai and Cheetos, as they were two extremely classy young men. For his part, thought, Peter hoisted the food up to a rooftop, so they could sit and admire one of the last cool -- but not chilly nights before summer slipped away into something more decidedly autumn. Being on a rooftop didn't cut away from the awkwardness of why they were here or what it was they were going to talk about, but it made Peter feel a lot more at ease. If nothing else, this was his element, and while he probably wouldn't swing away and leave David stranded in Queens, he could escape if he wanted to, and in a way that Prodigy couldn't follow. "This is you." Peter said, passing a box off to David before perching on the ledge of the building and tugging off his mask, setting it carefully beside the bag which contained their beverages. The gloves came off too: chopsticks were hard to manage with them on, and he picked up his own food, opening the container before focusing on something in the middle distance. The bandage might as well just get ripped off. "I'm not -- I'm not confused, David. I wish I was, I wish I was, but I'm not. I'm just sad about -- it." |
