Who: Alana Bloom, all of those attending
When: Tonight, 7pm.
Where: 13th floor, multimedia room.
What: Tonight's Refugee Survivor's Group Meeting.
Rating: Probably R for some situations. Beverages were out the entire time -- coffee, tea, iced tea, water, lemonade. Snacks were not out until after the meeting was over, because it's a little rude to be crunching away while someone is baring themselves for you.
Alana started off the meeting by talking about her own future. That she will turn her back on her dear friend Will Graham, she will sleep with a cannibal who manipulated her into it, and that her entire world will crumble down around her when she realizes the level of that manipulation. Then all she has to look forward to is that she'll be pushed out of a window by the teenage girl she thought was dead, where she will presumably have some long-lasting injuries, if not death waiting for her. While she is pretty emotional about it internally and mostly professional, she allowed her guard down for the duration and talked about her fears. All of them. Of not being in control, of not having all of the truth, of losing trust and faith in the people around her, of losing those people. That she has eaten people. She'll go on tol talk about mourning the loss of Hannibal Lecter, whom she thought was a mentor and a very close friend. He taught her a lot, and even though hindsight has ruined it, there are some precious moments along the way. She'll talk about how she's not even sure that she could go on being a therapist if she survives. Maybe it's time to cash in all that time off she doesn't take for a vacation. She'd open up the floor then for anyone who wanted to talk about their own fears of their future. |
