He was well versed in many a pizzeria back in his version if New York and already Thor had plans to expose Torunn to the best of them. The outing, pizza and ice cream, was so typical of a father attempting to bond with a daughter that he was certain Donald would have been laughing were he still a part of him. It was painfully obvious his intent, wasn't it? But what else could he do? Back home he would have had likely done something similar had she appeared from the future, but perhaps less so at a pizza parlor, and more so in a feasting hall fit for the gods. Mario's would just have to do for now and given the odd circumstances that threw them together he hoped she would not find his interest in her overbearing or strangely placed. He may not have been her true father, but he was somewhat him enough that he felt justified in seeking to learn more about Torunn. While he waited in the lobby he fiddled absently with the phone he had been given. Mjolnir was held on his back, his great red cape flowing to the floor and marking him as someone worth staring at by those passing by. Did his similar self not wear his cape openly? Was there something odd about his presence? Perhaps the other Thor was not as well known as Thor had been in his version of Midgard. He did not mind the staring much, but he didn't like waiting for long. His mind kept drifting to thoughts of the last child he did recall clearly; Magini. Magini, however, was a child of a future that no longer stood to exist. Still, secretly, he hoped it possible to one day reunite with a son like him, someone brave and worthy of Mjolnir and the titles of his blood. Secretly, he hoped Torunn was just like him. |
