Hill gathered everyone in the office (except Barton): Agent Romanoff, Stark, Thor, Cap, and Dr. Banner and restated the fact that there have been changes made at SHIELD.

If you don't know Nick Fury isn't working here, you need to open your lines of communication a little more.
There is no Agent Barton in the Avengers Initiative, despite certain claims otherwise (her jaw twitched a little bit right here)
The new director (yes, that's her) is under certain strict orders that she is not cleared to discuss, so forget she brought it up
The Avengers Initiative has been deactivated (this definitely has no relation to a previous statement they were ordered to forget)
She appreciates the service they have provided this country and the world, and hopes they will continue thinking of ways to serve both
Positions are available for Dr. Banner and Thor in a non-field capacity if they happen to be interested.
Please turn in your badges.

Tony would have been typically sardonic, keep his arms crossed and carry on in his usual spoiled-child-of-billionaires fashion. Anyone who knows him well, (so those present, particularly Banner) would be able to pick-up a little on the fact it's disingenuous -- he's absolutely aggravated, and concerned about what's happening -- but he'll blow off the whole thing and give up his badge with some snide remark about how SHIELD is pretty ungrateful, etc. etc.

His mild antics won't be directed at Maria, and he certainly won't try to get more information out of her than she can/is willing to give. He'll accept what she says, and he'll watch her pretty closely. When the meeting is over, he won't stick around and he won't linger with/around the other Avengers.

She better. He wore it just for her.

He's pretty familiar with this kind of thing, both from the corporate world and his history dealing with super-secret military weapons contracts, so he... gets it? He won't necessarily take it lying down, obviously, and he would want answers now that he knows more about how SHIELD is Howard's baby, but he can pick his battles, and he doesn't want to make things harder for the people who want to help him if they could.

	If Nat has to sting him to get him to take a hint, she will. She's pretty sure he could take one. Probably at like the first mention of Fury, she'd do something less noticeable, if she were standing near him. Because Natasha got the hint and was the good little agent who is fine with all this.
