While I understand the necessity of having the air conditioner off at the moment it isn't making it pleasant. I suppose it is good timing though in that school has started back as of this morning. A new class, new students to meet and get to know and the old ones who while a year older and in another grade are still as amazing as they were last year.

Getting too used to creature comforts?

So it seems unfortunately. Then again there is nothing wrong with that I suppose either. How about you? Getting too used to it here?

I guess I'm used to it now. I don't know if I'd say I need it, however. We just have to be careful about how much we rely upon technology, that's all. It got us into a big mess before, and this world is heading in the same direction.

That's true. Every 2,000 years. At least this world has a few more hundred years to go before everything changes again.

You don't sound so sure about that? From what I gathered from what you've said and the show, I thought that was the case?

I think this world has less time than that.

Why do you think that? I thought the cycle was pretty much impossible to break.

Are you all right? Did you get caught up in the nastiness of the Tower this past weekend?

Oh! Before I forget, Lucas, the man from the concert, says hullo.

I was but I wasn't affected too badly thankfully. Did you manage to avoid it?

I must remember to get his number but for the moment say hello back?

I was in upstate New York starting Friday afternoon and got back around 2:00 pm Monday. So yes, thankfully I was able to avoid it. While it's regrettable that you weren't able to avoid it, at least you weren't affected too badly.

I shall do that! Do you want me to give him your number the next time I see him?

I'm glad to hear that. It was good, I can't stand being out of control truthfully.

That would be good thank you, better than you passing messages between us.

I got to ride on a jet-ski! Talk about excitement! It still doesn't compare to a broom though. I don't think there's truly anything here to compare to that. Hmm, I don't think that anyone truly enjoys being out of control.

I don't mind doing that; gives me another reason to talk to you! Anyways, I ended up running into him today at the grocer's and he is now in possession of your number.

I'm not sure if I could manage that but I'm glad you had fun. I can understand flying more so though nothing I've been on is close to a broom though.

Thank you and you don't need an excuse to talk to me, I'm always happy to do so.

I rode on the back while someone else drove it. That's the only way my ride could have happened. I still get confused by technology. There was talk about making broomsticks here; but I'm not sure how far that got, if it ever got past the wishing/talking stage.

You're welcome! I know and appreciate you saying that. I just don't want to be that annoying person, that one friend that you see pop up on your screen and you groan and say "Not her again. I'm sick of talking to her." (You being used in the general sense, not you specifically in that example.)

Still it sounds like it would have been fun - if not scary. I do know what you mean, I was lucky that much of the technology here is similar to what we had back home despite the time difference. That would be something worth following up, there's plenty of people here who would be good at making that sort of thing.

I understand what you mean and don't worry it will never get that far.

It was fun but scary! I'll have to see if there was more than talk about producing one. You were lucky! There's been quite a difference between 1998 and 2013 for me.

Oh, good. Thank you.

It would definiately be worth looking into.

I can imagine, I mean I come from about 150,000 years into the past but from what I have gathered the cycle of technology is never ending and humanity will continually destroy themselves due to their reliance on it. While we did have Space Travel we had cars and computers, television and so forth. It just seems odd to be stuck on a planet, even after being here for so long

The group from the concerts is actually the group I went with.

It's a continuous circle. We had those things, in a way, but we as a culture are very insular. It seems odd to be across the pond.

I can see them enjoying that.

I understand that, though you are adapting well enough. I suppose we all do when forced into these situations though.

It was a very nice four days in upstate New York. I wish I could go back.

We adapt because it's the only way to survive.

I hope you can soon, it does sound wonderful.

That is true unfortunately but at the same time it is amazing what we as a race can do in those time of dire need.

I think it might be getting a bit too chilly for outside water activities, but going up to their house again would be nice.

Exactly what you said.
