Rating:Moderate for suggestion of previous sex and naked
Status:Complete
Luke rolled over, his head pounding slightly as he did so. He had vague memories of the night before. He knew he’d been to a club, he’d had a bit to drink and had met Ivy before heading back to Potts Tower with her. Oh and the sex, he definitely remembered that so he supposed he did remember it, his head just hurt. Rolling over he closed his eyes as the sun hit his face and attempted not to groan, that had definitely not been a good idea. Ivy had been awake for some time trying to fight off the headache that had been the reason she’d woken up in the first place. She hadn’t realized where she was when she’d awakened and then she’d looked over and saw who was in bed with her or more exactly whose bed she was in. Luke Skywalker. Could life get any more bizarre than that? She’d spent the night with someone who wasn’t even a real person but then again neither was she according to the people in this world. At least it had been good, she’d have to admit that. Thank god the actual act had lived up to her adolescent fantasies. It would have been a shame if it hadn’t. The question now was what to do. Did she get up and leave quietly before Luke realized she was awake or did she stick around and talk to him. She never got to make that choice though because he rolled over and Ivy knew that he was awake. ‘Um...good morning,” she said when he opened his eyes again. “Morning,” he replied turning to look at her. He hadn’t been sure if she would have been still been there when he woke up. He wasn’t sure what to think of it but he suppose he would see what happened. “You feeling alright?” he asked. If his headache was anything to go by she probably would have a fairly bad one too. He could at the very least offer her something for that. “My head hurts like hell,” she admitted, looking over at him. “How about yours?” Ivy still wasn’t sure what to do but he was nice and he was cute and he didn’t appear to want to kick her out of bed so she’d go with it. “Coffee. I think we need some. And maybe some aspirin.” “The same,” he admitted. Rolling over. “Coffee and asprin. I can do that,” he said sitting up with a groan. “Okay, not a good idea,” he murmured before moving slower this time as he tried to get out of bed to get those for Ivy. She tried not to stare since he was still quite naked. Damn but he was hot. Ivy closed her eyes and shook her head. No, Ivy, no, she told herself. He was ten years younger than her, chronologically according to this calendar anyway but when you added in the whole fiction thing...holy hell what did that mean. Ivy leaned back against the pillow and opened her eyes, closing them quickly when the light hit them. Coffee and aspirin. Luke was getting them and then they’d talk and she’d go home and of course she’d tell Bridget because hell who wouldn’t? Thank god Luke didn’t live on the same floor as Derek because if he knew. Oh god she didn’t even want to think about what he’d say. When he finished laughing of course. Luke slowly made his way to the bathroom, grabbed the asprin and chucked two down himself before heading to the kitchen to put the kettle on. While it was boiling he made his way back to the bedroom. “Two asprin and water,” he told her handing them over. Thankfully it was kicking in ever so slightly though he still felt like crap. “How do you take the coffee?” he asked her. He didn’t care that he was naked, he was comfortable plus they had had sex last night so it wasn’t like she hadn’t seen it before. Plus she was just as naked as he was. “Black please,” she said, giving him a weak smile and taking the aspirin from him, chasing it with the water. “I don’t know why but it seems to work better that way.” This was far from Ivy’s first hangover and while she usually put sugar in her coffee, she never did in a case like this. She put the water on the nightstand and looked up at Luke. They had to talk about what happened but she was damned if she knew what to say. “Black it is then,” he said as he made his way back into the kitchen. Once the kettle was boiled he made two black coffees and headed back into the bedroom. Passing hers to her he finally realised that he was still naked and grabbed a robe to put on. “So....” he said sitting on the bed. It was amazing how such a little word could have such a big meaning. Ivy took a sip of coffee and sighed. “So...” she said slowly. “Last night was great, Luke, It was but I think we both know that it was only one night. My life is....complicated. Well I guess everyone’s is here and there’s kind of someone that I’m....” Ivy paused, trying to think how she could define her relationship with Derek. “well I don’t really know what we are but we’re something. I care about him, I think he it might care about me but it’s all pretty messy and the worst part is that a lot of it hasn’t happened for me yet. He’s here, he came from a point further along than me so for him it’s happened and oh hell, trying to explain it just makes it worse.” she shook her head and leaned back against the pillows. Luke wasn’t at all surprised by what she had said. Truth be told he had been thinking it was much the same thing, hell he had gone into it last night expecting it. No strings attached, one night only just a bit of fun for the two of them. “I understand, kriff I was expecting that when we went into it as well.” Luke was slightly disappointed but yes he fully expected that and wasn’t surprised. “That guy is lucky to have you and I truly hope it works out for the two of you.” Ivy made a face. “Well I’m not sure how he feels about being lucky to have me. He’s not the kind of guy who shows his feelings much at all. Not those kind anyway.” Derek might yell at a person or find a way to insult them but a compliment from him was rare. Still though Ivy couldn’t erase the image of him standing up for her, applauding wildly and shouting “Brava!” that she’d seen when they’d watched the show together. That was a Derek she had never seen before and it just confused her. “I’m not sorry about last night though. Don’t think that. I liked getting to know you. I hope we can be friends.” “Still he might not show it but I think he’s lucky. You are an amazing person,” he told her. “I’d love to be friends and even if you did regret it, it doesn’t have to come up again unless you want it too,” he told her truthfully. “I’m happy to do whatever you are comfortable with.” “Well thank you. I think you’re pretty awesome too. I always did even when I didn’t know you.” Ivy took a sip of her coffee. No way was she going to tell him that she had once fantasized about giving birth to his children. Yes, she was fifteen at the time but some things were better left unsaid. “Friends it is then! No sense in making things awkward when they don’t need to be.” “Why thank you,” he said with a grin. “Wish I could say the same about you but Tatooine doesn’t exactly have any of the media this world does so you’re all new,” he said with a shrug. “Exactly, friends it is then,” he replied flopping down onto the bed next to her grateful that it hadn’t turned into one of those awkward mornings. |
