RP Thread: Karolina & Xavin
Who: Karolina Dean and Xavin
When: Evening of 15 May
Where: Their apartment
What: Reunion, omg!
Rating: TBD, but likely not the highest
After deciding earlier in the day to actually go to prom, Karolina had devoted her afternoon to finding a reasonably priced dress. That was easier said than done, she found, and before she knew it, hours had passed. As she stood in a dressing room, three different choices in front of her, she had picked up her phone only to take pictures to send to Nico, Gert, Julie, and Laura to get opinions, when she checked the network first. Expecting to see the usual silliness, she nearly froze when she instead found Xavin. Xavin. Her Xavin. Her intended and the person she had been pining after for months now, attempting to gather herself enough to move on. She was here. In New York. In her apartment. After responding to Xavin and exchanging a few messages, she decided that it was stupid of her to be doing this from a dressing room. Looking at the dresses one more time, she made the ultimate decision and grabbed the white one before hurrying to the counter. The clerk looked at Karolina rather disapprovingly as she continued to type away to Xavin from her phone, but she would take a little irritation from a clerk at the moment. She was buying a dress, after all; that should give her a little leeway. Karolina gave her a smile nonetheless before storing the dress in her purse, hanging onto the bag with the dress tightly in one hand, and then took off through the store. By the time she had swung the door open, she had reverted to her natural Majesdanian form and she was in the air the moment her feet hit the pavement. She normally didn't fly to get around, unless she was needing to get out to clear her head or if she wasn't around people at all, but this was an exception. Karolina knew that she didn't have the patience to deal with normal transporation. The flight back to Potts Tower wasn't quite long enough for Karolina to get her thoughts in order. While she was obviously excited and happy to see Xavin, part of her was still battling irritation at her for leaving like she had, but also so thankful that she had given her such a gift. It was conflicted, to say the least. Add that in with the worry (and guilt) for Julie that was settling on her shoulders and she wasn't sure what she was going to say to her beloved first. It didn't take long for her to find the open window to her apartment as she swung around the building, slipping in like she had done it dozens of times before. The bag with the dress and her purse lay forgotten on the floor and the rainbow light faded as she dimmed to look human, blending in better with the apartment that had become all too familiar to her over the past several months. |
