I don't disagree with her original statement, but my grandmother, so far as I can tell, would never give up on democracy.

We should do something. This town's government isn't ready to do anything to stop them.

No, I wouldn't either. It's felt as though there's been a general sense of aggravation towards the town government so it isn't a disagreeable statement.

We should do something about those being affected or the government?

It's like any place in the middle of nowhere, the efficiency and competency leaves something to be desired.

Both, maybe, but I was mostly thinking of keeping my mother or grandmother from doing something idiotic they are likely to regret until we figure out what is going on.

Then I'd happily tackle the government. You've been a king, we could probably do something.
