Network Post: Anakin Skywalker
Has anyone else with a connection or ability to sense a particular object of theirs found that, since arriving on this ship, you get the disorienting sense like there's more than one of it in different places? Especially if you have a lightsaber? It's been bothering me for some time now.

[Misty Knight and Howard Stark]

How are things so far with the new arm?

It's mine. It called out to me. It's been in my possession for a great length of time.

Called out to you? That's [...] surprising. That's what kyber crystals do to the Jedi person who is to wield them.

Yes. It [...] was certainly surprising when it happened. Terrifying, actually.

I intended to ask Master Luke to teach me. I don't know if he will or not. I was pulled away from our first proper meeting. [...] His younger self tried, for a time, but he disappeared after only a few weeks of our knowing one another. And then I moved onto Master Kenobi.

I guess it could have felt free to choose a new master. I do still sense it myself, not like with other people's lightsabers.

Now that you're here, who is teaching you?

I've become rather attached to it. [...] Did you want it returned? I'd understand if you did.

No one.

That was my first thought. I have to admit, I don't like the idea of a stranger wielding my lightsaber. I didn't choose to relinquish it. So perhaps if you are no longer a stranger to me, and if I can check for myself whether it has changed itself over to your hand, I won't be as uncomfortable with it.

Is teaching something that you seek? If it is, you have a few options. Or even just someone to answer questions and practice with, less formally.

I'd understand does not mean I wish to. Do you not have it from the time you originated from? It's copy? I'm not certain if it that is the best word for it. [...] I would not mind getting to know you. We've not had an opportunity to. And Obi-Wan trusts you. At least somewhat.

It was hoping to begin my instruction again. I was giving myself, and others, time to assimilate to new circumstances.

I do have it and I never thought it wouldn't be the only one. I'm not guaranteeing that I won't ever ask for my property back Dinner or the park, perhaps?

We adapt quickly. Are you ready yet?

Either is fine. Perhaps dinner?

I am.

One of the restaurants has some dishes from Coruscant, if that's something you'd like.

Do you hope to become a Jedi?

I've only had one dish from Coruscant, when we were there the last day. That was my first day here. So I wouldn't mind trying more of their cuisine.

Yes.

Obi-Wan is your only option, then.

He is the only adult Jedi. If you aren't specifically looking for a Jedi's path, you have other options.

However, since you're already older than an infant yourself, he may just reject you for that.

I'll worry with what Master Kenobi may or may not do on my own.

I won't. I may not be a Jedi proper, but I am a Force Wielder.

Reject me?

What is the difference?

I do not uphold the strictness of the Jedi code. I do what my conscious tells me is the right course of action. Of course, I do have the training. I would have been a Master had I not let the Order when I did, so I have the basic tenements.

Is that not common for a jedi? To follow their conscious?

I know very little about the ways of the jedi. Or the force. But I feel like I need to learn more.

Yes, but then you answer to the Council if it goes against their wishes. My training happened to coincide with the Clone Wars, and Anakin and I were often at odds with the Council on how to proceed. Near the end of the Wars, the Jedi were more politicians than Peacekeepers.

The Jedi Code promotes compassion but looks down upon attachments. I feel that those are at odds with one another.
