Rex and I survived. We were the only ones who did. Somehow he was able to keep sane long enough to tell me to find Fives. I did. Rex suspected that the inhibitor chip wasn't what the Caminoans said it was for.

He was right.

I let Maul out for a distraction, but I didn't count on him ripping the entire hyperdrive out of the system, sending us careening with that moon. He escaped. For the record.

	I should have listened to Fives. You let him out, but he destroyed the ship. That's not on you. And I know you're beating yourself up saying "if I hadn't let him out" but you wouldn't have needed a distraction if not for Order 66. They were never going to stop. 	That's part of why I was willing to believe him, even though he'd lied to me all that time. I told the Council, but when it came down to it— I made the wrong choice. He's incredibly powerful, powerful enough to hide how powerful he really is, and clever enough to look like he was helplessly manipulated instead of the one behind it all.
