I understand that this world, for its previous inhabitants, must feel very different and strange and I hope this is not insensitive to say, but: I think this is my favorite world I've visited so far, and I will be very sad to leave.

I am trying very hard to see all of it, but it is oh so very tempting to stay the whole rest of the time in Lake Country. The things they can do with flowers is incredible. I have spent so much money on blossom wine and perfume (followed very closely by clothing, not just from here). Not to mention the parades! The acrobats! I want so much more time to spend here.

This is my first-time off-world, and I'm almost inclined to agree with you. I don't want to leave, but now I'm so curious to know what else is out there.

I will be sad to leave this place.

Oh, we've been to many other interesting places! I was also very fond of Alola. I found my dear Pokemon companion there; I'd never had a pet before. I would introduce you but he has been left in Tumbleweed on this cruise.

But this place feels like the most like home to me, aside from my own homeworld.

Wait-Pokemon are real? I guess that really shouldn't surprise me after all I've seen, but it's unexpected all the same.

That's good. To be able to find something that brings a similar comfort, it's hard to do if you're traveling a lot. I don't

They are! I had never heard of them prior to arriving in their world, but I can indeed confirm they exist. Mine is a Pikipek.

I've always wanted to travel, and I do enjoy all of the traveling we do here, but there are many things I miss about my homeworld. The markets full of crafts, the wine, the flowers, the people. These are not my people but the culture seems very similar.

I never really played, but I knew what it was.

Have you been able to find something similar back on Earth?

Played?

I enjoy the countries of Mexico, India, Morocco, and Turkey. Morocco and India in particular have very similar food to my homeland. What sort of land do you come from?

It's a game back home, I think it started off as a trading card game but grew into actual games you can play on a gaming system or your phone.

I've been to a few of those, Mexico was the most recent. England, I born and raised in England.

Oh, how fun. I love card games. Do you know anything about how the card game worked?

I love Mexico. I went there first for Pride, and then returned to explore it further. In England, were you anywhere near London? I lived in London, but in my world, it is in a country called Arnes. In one of our connected worlds it was in England.

I don't, unfortunately, but I bet there's someone here that would know.

I was there during Día de Muertos and travelled to other locations in South America. I did really enjoy Mexico and the other countries, I love the food and the music.

I did, your world had connections? That's interesting.

Yes, by that standard, Naboo is my favorite as well. I am sure I will not have done a quarter of what I wish while we are here. And yet it has been awash in joy and wonder.

We could not possibly do all that we might want in the time we've been allotted. All we can do is enjoy the time we have.

I wonder if the portal would see fit to bring us some of this blossom wine in Tumbleweed if we requested it.

Indeed. I'm trying to decide between exploring yet another wonderful little market and sailing through the core. In so much as that can be called sailing.

It might. The wine isn't something particular enough to belong only to a certain person. It would be nice if the portal offered its own little wine shop, where you could browse wines from all the places it could imagine.

Oh, that is a difficult choice. I wonder if we could sail to a market? Or visit a market at a port?

What a wonderful idea. From us alone it would make enough money to maintain such a business.

It would be great to spend time on the water. Space is incredible, but water does seem to be what it lacks. And yes, sailing to a market would be the best of both. At least they brought our luggage with us. I'm certainly not leaving much space for the other ports, but we'll do what we have to should it actually become full.

Indeed it would. And I am sure we wouldn't be the only ones interested. It would be a boon for the whole community.

I do miss sailing. And if I miss it, I have to imagine you miss it even more. Let us go sailing, darling.

We must add that to the list of things we would like to see in the city when we return. Who knows, perhaps the portal will oblige.

I've gone frequently, to many different places. The first was Mexico City for Pride, but probably most often in ports and port cities along the coast. My husband and I sailed along it for awhile. It was... 2019, just last year while the group was in Tumbleweed.

Have you been?

My abuela lived in Pachuca, which is in the suburbs of Mexico City, although I suppose it would have been a city in its own right at one point. It's in the north-east of the city. And the last time I was there was for Día de Muertos in 2099.

Ah, Pachuca! I went to see the painted houses there, the ones they made into a mural. Beautiful. So colorful. Does it still exist in 2099?

You're quite a bit into the future for me, mi amigo. It was the year 1819 at home before I arrived here.

The passage of time changes everything eventually, I suppose. What is it like now?

This place is truly something, isn't it? There are folks here even farther into the future than you, by spans of time much, much longer than the time between you and I. It's quite difficult to wrap one's mind around, but also fascinating, I think, to meet people from such different times and places.

I'm Rhy Maresh! And you are?
