I know. I know. Mandalore's not a place or a person, it's a path. But this isn't centuries in the past, these would be people whose armor I've seen.

I don't want to say I'm better than a squadron of imperial science officers, but I did work this out when I was 13 and they didn't actually manage to build it for another 5 years.

You did, and you are, but that's also what they told you. They're not known to be big on telling the truth. There also could have been someone watching, listening, and tuning into any adjustments you were making too.
