The ancient language of Island is a Western dialect of Old Norse. I've been teaching myself how to read and speak it so I can read a manuscript I came across. The Galdrakver. Its previous owner, Bishop Hannes Finnson, was said to have a vast library full of magic related texts. I am inquiring further to try and uncover these texts.

As much as I'm able before we're whisked off into space, that is.

I think it's a perfectly natural reaction, Katie. One which you don't have to be ashamed of. For me, it's just the inconvenience. At the moment, I'd much rather be home, studying. Whether we stay in Tumbleweed or go on a cruise, we're going to be met with danger sent by the Portal.

A few times, yes. Each one being very entertaining.

I fully intend to return it, once its been both memorized and copied.

Usually just our clothes. Although, on the airship, not even that. We were given steampunk-style clothes.

Ah. Well, on the cruise ship, a few pets came along, so there's that possibility. Also, the Portal plays some sort of time trick so that when we return, it's like no time passed between at all.

Depends on your mood, naturally. I'd bet he'd easily fall into the category of Gryffindor.

I can't promise that it will be alright. These cruises usually last three to four months. There are perils along the way, but there's opportunities for a lot of fun and interesting encounters.

Possibly more than one. With the added likelihood that the ship's robotic crew may turn against us. However, we won't be going in naively. Teams are selected to take turns being on guard, and precautions are made to escape to safety areas.
