Finally, those accursed thorn scrapes and punctures have finished healing. It never takes me so long to heal from something so minor, but it seems the fairy magic behind them also caused them to heal at a slower pace than that to which I am accustomed.

Now that I am free of those marks, I will be resuming assignations at Carpe Noctem. Due to the legal status in this place, I suspect I shouldn't even advertise that, so please contact me privately and not publicly with any interest.

[FILTERED TO GOLDEN SQUARE]

If anyone should need assistance running errands while they remain cursed or in recovery from their curse, please know that I'd be happy to assist you.

Lucy, you discussed present-day apparel the other day. I have found a couturier, Miss Jan Van Dyne, who does exceptional work. She is also understanding when someone is accustomed to very different fabrics, shapes, and supports than what is commonly found here. I also noticed that you mentioned music. Will you tell me more about which instruments you play? Perhaps we have some in common.

To most of the people here, I think we may all be. A boy from school invited me to come by for a party thrown that involves plastic bricks or that I could show people betting games, but instead we should bet with sweets.

Okay. I'll wait to hear about it.

I think you're right. "Plastic" is strange, too. Why would you play for sweets and not coin? Have they no money to spend?

The house hasn't had a game night in some time. I know your sister likes to share the games of your time. I'm not an expert, but I could share some of mine as well. What do you think? Or are you less fond of betting than she is? (It's the games and the socializing I enjoy more than the money.)

I'm not certain, but I did not wish to question it in case it is a sensitive topic. I only would have suggested very low bets.

I haven't done much betting, but I don't have much of my own coin here now. I believe I must get a "part-time" job. Apparently the grocers is hiring and various other businesses.

It's hard to know what they'll be sensitive about here. They're open about some things and coddle people in others.

I don't have much yet, either. I've grown spoiled, I'm afraid, and now find I keep spending what I earn as soon as I get it. I hope school and "part-time" will work out for you.

Yes. That seems to be the way of things.

I hope it will be something worth doing. It might not, I suppose. I still remain uncertain about what might be worth doing as a job here. Ma might've had a better idea of it.
