I very much enjoyed our weekend together. I absolutely hate that we had to leave. But I owe Quentin a trip and I wanted to see how you felt about that?

Just so you know, I'm still suffering from telling the truth. It's a terrible affliction, but I've made my peace with it because it's brought me to a new stage in my relationship with Gaby and because it's given me clarity on a few things going on in my head.

This truth telling business was the reason why I couldn't talk to you before. Eliot's told me that he spoke to you about how whatever it was that I was afraid of ruining was probably a sex thing, and, at the least, not anything terrible. He was right, mostly. It's not terrible and it's more of a love thing and I think I'm ready to admit that I care for you more than a friend.

Gaby is aware of these things and as long as I'm honest with her about what goes on here, we'll play it by ear, but I'm no longer content to hide this truth from you or myself. Frankly, it was making me miserable and while it may still ruin things because I'm not sure how you feel or what you want, I need you to know this before I invited you out to Point Pleasant for the trip we were suppose to have taken last weekend.

So. There it is, cards on the table. And so there are no surprises, I've made this viewable to Gaby. If that's not alright with you, please let me know.

I know we're working with being honest and I'm going to let Napoleon know we had this conversation, but I just [...] I want you to know that what you feel for Napoleon, what you felt for Illya. I don't expect you to feel that way for me. We have a lot of 'getting to know you' stuff to get through. If that's something you want to explore later on, that's fine. If not, that's fine, too. It's not necessary. [...] I just wanted to make sure you knew that.

New Jersey can count as an exercise in getting to know each other a little. If there's ever anything you want to know or ask, please feel free.

I'm not a big emotional conversations kind of person. The way I was raised, emotions are the sort of thing one keeps to oneself, and even then, I am very skilled at compartmentalizing. Apparently, it makes me valuable as an asset. But I will do my best here.

My previous romantic entanglements were of a more fleeting nature. What I had with Illya was new for me. And this thing with Napoleon is different in its own way. I do not like to let on when I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm afraid I don't really know what I'm doing. I will do my best to fake it while I work some of these things out.

It might balance things out a bit because I'm kind of one really bad at keeping things to myself most of the time. Or at least hiding my emotions. Also sometimes I'm just ridiculous.

It's okay. I don't know if anyone really knows what they're doing. We just sort of try our best and hope it works out. But if there's anything I can do to make this easier or at least less alien, just let me know.
