It seems random in certain aspects, but with the pod drops we got back in Mount Weather and here? Someone — or something — is doing this.

Let me put it to you this way. Last Christmas, we all woke up one day with a letter from Santa, telling us to put things on our wishlist. Those of us who did got something from those lists. Sometimes, we'll get something from home through the portal.

Unfortunately, every attempt at the portal has been thwarted. We had Carol Danvers in Mount Weather. She couldn't get out of the atmosphere, despite that being something she could do in her world. We used to get dropped there in pods. Could never get to one opening in time to see anything.

So maybe we don't focus on how the portal works.

Maybe we focus on the motivations of the force behind the portal.
