Eliot

So, do you want to tell me what happened between you and Ronan?

There was no lead in for that. You've got to ease a man in to these types of conversations, Adam.

That was such minimal effort. Pitiful.

Not even a 'how are you'? Manners, Parrish.

Why are you asking?

I have impeccable manners.

Because I would have thought you'd have sorted it out by now.

You realize this is a dangerous conversation to have and puts me in a tough spot, don't you?

I know it puts you in a tough spot, so I'll leave it be if you want. But I miss having you around, so if we can sort it out, I'd like to.

I've purposefully left you out of this to prevent putting you in a tough spot. It's not for you and me to sort out. It's on him and I.

Are you going to try?

What exactly has Ronan told you about what happened? Because I really do not think it's on me to be the one to sort this out.

That he didn't stop Fray from driving, and there was a fight over parenting styles after that.

Alright.

Are you sure you want to get into this?

Yes.

I don't care if he thinks he could have been able to stop something from going wrong. That's not a guarantee no matter how confident he is in his own reactions or in what he's shown Fray with driving go-karts. Cars require you to be quick and reactionary. Yes, he most likely could have stopped anything bad from happening, but a split second can change everything. Someone could have run out from the side of the street. Someone could have slammed on their breaks. Another car could have come from the side and clipped them.

Fray has latched onto Ronan and will listen to any word he says. I don't understand why he didn't stop her. It wasn't doing her any favors. Ignoring what could have physically happened, she's entirely new to this world. If anyone else had pulled her over, she'd be not even sixteen with a record that she didn't know was possible to obtain. If he cared about her, he would be considering these things, regardless of how he feels about rules of society.

He doesn't get a say in how I raise my daughter or if I'm afraid of something happening to her or if I'm angry about that.
