[ FILTERED TO NATASHA ROMANOFF, PEGGY CARTER, TONY STARK (MCU), TINY STARK (904913), & SAM WILSON (616) ] So Jones (and Jones, and Jones, the Starks, Ted Danson, and whoever else worked on this) did a pretty thorough job getting my identity here the credentials I had back home. I tested them out and I'm poking around, seeing what kind of reach it's getting, but I think I might be able to utilize it to build some connections and funding. For what?
Well, I know I'm not the only one that's going crazy without a purpose here. Yeah, there's the Resettlement Bureau and getting the Displaced settled into their new lives. But we already have a ton of people there, helping with that. You got your intake crew, your security details, your management, your funding, your research teams, and your magical folk looking at it from a less scientific view. It's still all a work in progress, but you've built an amazing foundation and if you stay your path, it's not going to derail.
But I need something more. I've been feeling without purpose for awhile now. I've tried playing sidekick to Tony's mad scientist and it helps us both, sure, but I can't keep doing just that.
I already spoke to Nat about this a little and Peggy, I know you probably got some of this out of her already, but I want to go make a difference in the world - missions, taking down the corrupt, saving lives in war zones. So the poking and prodding I'm doing with these credentials, I'm seeing if I can get the attention of the right people, the right groups in whatever part of the government that shows interest.
If I start attracting the wrong attention, I'll bail, burn all bridges, go dark. However, I do think with Tony's magical fingers, we can build a team that goes out into the world and do more there instead of just on this home front. But I do want a reality check, I want one of you looking in from the outside and telling me if this is not a good idea. Help me rework it if you can and if you can't, that works too. But I'm not looking to put the community in jeopardy, just want to feel like I'm doing my part in making the world better.
