Dancing has certainly changed since my era. A pity. It would be nice if there were a dance hall in town.

Is the film Casablanca good? The Tumbleweed calendar says that's what's playing on Movie Night, this coming Monday.

Quite. It leaves little to the imagination. I was deeply disturbed upon watching somebody perform a move, which I was later told is called 'the twirk' - I believe I got the name correct?

The Charleston! It went out of fashion before my time, but I still learned it, good fun. I'm more adept with more of the swing type dances, such as the Collegiate Shag and Lindy Hop, but I also know how to waltz and do the fox-trot.

I don’t think I’ve heard of that, and I don’t think I want to.

Yes, I learned the classic sort of dances, or those that would be considered classics in this era. Swing was after my time though, I think.

As well you shouldn't. A lady of your social status shouldn't have to be exposed to such lewdness. For that matter, nobody should.

Swing evolved from dances like the Charleston, so imagine the same sort of high step energy. I would gladly demonstrate, had I an able partner.

Is that a subtle way of asking me to dance with you? That’s quite bold of you, isn’t it, Mr. Jarvis?

Lady Crawley! I am a gentleman. I would never be so forthwith as to ask such a thing from you without proper etiquette.

However, since you did bring it up, would you be so kind as to consider dancing with me?

And yet you ask anyway. Very bold indeed.

Though you are a butler Perhaps, if you can find some place where we might be able to dance.

I've been around Americans for too long. I apologize if I've overstepped my bounds.

When I find something, I shall let you know.

I’m mostly amused at your boldness, and for that, I’ll agree to a dance.
