While Leo and I are enjoying our one on one lessons, I would love to have more students to teach.

So EPS students who think German is overrated (all the love to you, Rogue and Gaby!), come to my French class.

This is my first time to take a language. I didn't take Latin because my fath Eliot seemed interested in teaching me himself. I just sort of picked at random. I didn't know Earth had so many languages.

It was one of the languages recommended to me by the people here as the one that many spoke - at least amongst our group - which is why it is one of the first I learned here. I have yet to encounter a Russian speaker outside of our group of travelers. There are indeed a great many languages represented here, and none of them are the ones I knew at home, except for English.

I am very glad to have you as a student, and the benefit of having just the one student is that it is easy for me to offer you any extra help that you need.

I have not heard differing languages before in the Fairy Realm or Fillory. It is entirely possible that I have just not been around those who speak different languages. I have heard a tree language that I cannot speak and Latin here, though I'm not always sure which is which. They both sound foreign to me.

Eliot said that I had to take a language, so I picked one that didn't seem as popular. I need help in very many subjects. I can read and write and I understand the basics of fairy deals, but Earth school is different from school in the Fairy Realm. It is more detailed and contains more subjects.

I've heard of Latin, but not a tree language. Both would still sound foreign to me.

School here is different from the schooling I received in Arnes, although I would not say it is typical in Arnes to have private tutors as I did. I don't know how much use I would be in helping you with your other subjects, but I could certainly give it a try. There are likely also tutors who specialize in their individual subjects who might be able to help you more.

I had not heard of either before.

Most likely. I would rather spend my time on my friend's farm. I'm told, though, that I do not have a choice in going to school, so I can't do that instead.

I hadn't heard of either one before coming here, either. This is a world full of new languages for me.

School will have holidays and eventually you will be graduate, and then you'll hopefully be able to do what you want. Farming might be a job you could have in the future, I really don't know what the availability is for that here.

It would be nice if I could graduate now. I am not sure, but I could always ask if I could.

You could certainly ask. But education is something you might find very useful in the future, and I think you would be doing yourself a disservice not to take the opportunity.

It's possible. I haven't found anything that binds me to it or makes me happy to be there as of yet. Still, I suppose it could be worse.

Is there anything in particular that would help you to find it more engaging? I don't know how much leeway I have, but I could certainly try.

I don't know. I'm not sure if there's something or if there isn't.

I'll come up with some ideas, and we can try them if you're interested, and you can let me know if they work for you.
